Does Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) sleep? GCW will be one week removed from Joey Janela’s LA Confidential and GCW x SUBURBAN FIGHT CLUB: No Ring, No Rules, and recent cards like Live Fast Die Young, Nick Gage Invitational, and Joey Janela’s Lost In New York. The maverick promotion based out of New Jersey has become one of 2018’s most exciting indie promotions, combining the fun and revelry of the best of the US indie scene with the spirit and legacy of American hardcore. With this Saturday’s GCW Tha G-Code, GCW returns to its more extreme roots with a night of heavy hitting and confrontations destined to draw more than its fair share of blood.

Saieve Al Sabah vs. Facade
Florida indie sensation Saieve Al Sabah, whose spent the bulk of his career with American Combat Wrestling (ACW) – where he’s a former ACW Combat Champion – since starting out in 2016, makes his GCW debut this Saturday. Al Sabah is breaking out of the Florida scene, working with the likes of Major League Wrestling (MLW), EVOLVE, Fest Wrestling and now GCW. He goes up against a Midwest indie veteran in Facade, who has been a staple for Pennsylvania’s International Wrestling Cartel (IWC) since he debuted in 2006. A former 3x IWC Super Indy Champion, Facade has also worked with the likes of Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW), EVOLVE, Smash Wrestling, and more, including a series of tours with DDT Pro in Japan this year. A great match-up that will open a lot of eyes at Tha G-Code.
G-Raver vs. Jeff Cannonball
A couple of American hardcore veterans clash in this battle of the streets at Tha G-Code. An 11-year veteran with the likes of Pennsylvania’s Renegade Wrestling Alliance (RWA), Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), IWA Mid South, and GCW, G-Raver is a big dog bite in a small dog’s frame. A former 4x RWA Cruiserweight Champion, G-Raver uses his body as a weapon. He’s facing 8-year pro and Jersey boy Jeff Cannonball, who first made his GCW debut back in 2013 when the company was still Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW). He also cut his teeth in CZW, before heading to Hardcore Hustle Organization (H20) where he’s a 2x H2O Heavyweight Champion.
Hate Trash Disaster (Markus Crane & SHLAK) vs. The Rejects (John Wayne Murdoch & Reed Bentley)
Two beasts of the American hardcore scene – Markus Crane and SHLAK – are teaming up for the first time under the new moniker Hate Trash Disaster to face former GCW Tag Team Champions, The Rejects. The Rejects are also former tag team champions with IWA Mid South and reigning champions with Indiana’s Paradigm Pro Wrestling (PPW). Individually, John Wayne Murdoch is a former 4x IWA Mid South Heavyweight Champion, while Reed Bentley has held the same belt three times himself. These two are tough and together they’re a disaster waiting to happen. But the new duo they’re facing are no slouches themselves. Markus Crane started out with IWA Mid South in 2009 and has gone to work with All American Wrestling (AAW) and DREAMWAVE before joining GCW in 2016. His partner SHLAK is one of the baddest men in independent wrestling. Although only a few years into his career, he’s been a bloody force to be reckoned with in GCW, CZW, H2O, and even in Mexico, with the hardcore Desastre Total Ultraviolento (DTU), winning the DTU World Extreme Championship. This won’t be pretty, but it will be a fight.
Puma King vs. Teddy Hart vs. Gringo Loco vs. Grim Reefer
A Fatal Four Way featuring some insane high flyers who are as unpredictable as it gets. One of the many young Lucha stars from Mexico making the move to the international indies, Puma King has been a breakout in the latter part of 2018 with debuts with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), Major League Wrestling (MLW) and IMPACT Wrestling, and now he debuts with GCW in a huge four-way encounter. Teddy Hart has become a regular with GCW since he made his comeback to indie wrestling a year or so ago, and now that he’s cleaned himself up and regained a passion for the industry, Teddy Hart has never been better and continues to show that he’s just as innovative now as he was in his youth. Chicago’s Gringo Loco is one of the top stars with GALLI Lucha Libre, who made his GCW debut earlier this year. He’s been primarily working the Chicago area indies for the bulk of his career since 2005, but in the past few years, he’s been branching out with AIW, Freelance, Black Label Pro and MLW. Grim Reefer is a 20 year veteran of the Jersey/New York indie scene, a regular with Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW), House of Glory (HOG), and Fight The World (FTW) Wrestling, where he was a 2x FTW Heavyweight Champion, 5x FTW Gen-X Champion, and 2x JAPW Jersey State Champion.
Homicide vs. Alex Colon
A battle of two hardcore veterans at Tha G-Code, featuring a Jersey/New York indie legend and one of the new faces of American hardcore. Homicide is celebrating over 20 years in the ring, starting off as an indie legend with JAPW and going on to World Championship gold in Ring of Honor (ROH) and tag team dominance with IMPACT Wrestling. A 6x Tag Team Champion in JAPW and 3x Tag Team Champion in IMPACT, Homicide is tough as nails. His opponent is Alex Colon, who debuted in 2007 with CZW and has become one of the toughest competitors of the past decade. A standout with Rockstar Pro as well as H2O, this will be a rough affair.
Rich Swann vs. Jimmy Lloyd
Rich Swann has hit the indies hard since his release from the WWE earlier this year, but the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion is putting his body where his mouth is. An early star with CZW, EVOLVE and Japan’s Dragon Gate prior to his WWE stint, Swann returned to the indies this year with CZW, AAW, and RevPro in the UK, as well as IMPACT Wrestling, MLW and AAA. He returns to GCW for the first time since making his debut against Nick Gage at September’s Live Fast Die Young. His opponent this time is one of the young lions of American hardcore in Jimmy Lloyd. Lloyd made his debut in 2015 with CZW and has gone on to become an emerging star with GCW and H2O, where he captured the H2O Hybrid Championship. Another tough contest for Swann as he enters a world he’s normally a part of at Tha G-Code.
Matt Tremont vs. Eric Ryan
Ohio’s Eric Ryan has been a regular with his home state AIW since his 2007 debut, but he’s toughened himself up working with the likes of GCW, DTU, IWA Mid South and Ohio’s Mega Championship Wrestling (MEGA) and Rockstar Pro. A 2x AIW Absolute Champion, Eric Ryan gets to test himself once again against an American hardcore legend. The two have met in trios action, but this marks their singles match debut against each other. Matt Tremont has also been wrestling since 2007, but he has become one of the most dominant American hardcore wrestlers in the world. A former GCW and CZW World Heavyweight Champion, these two brutes will bleed for their victory and it’s going to be a mess of a match as these two fight for their name at Tha G-Code.
Nick Gage vs. Jack Evans
Nick Gage will be running on fumes by the time he gets to his GCW World Heavyweight Championship title defense on Saturday night – earlier in the day, he represents Beyond Wrestling at CHIKARA Cibernetico 7 Man Army and the night before, he’s with AIW facing Mexican hardcore icon LA Park at AIW Hell On Earth 14. He’s also still reeling from the infamous GCW World title match against David Arquette at Joey Janela’s LA Confidential, followed by a no ring, no rules bar fight against West Coast behemoth Brody King. While his opponent on Saturday night isn’t as physically imposing as LA Park or Brody King, he’s no slouch either. He’s facing indie high flyer and legend Jack Evans, one of the last graduates from the Hart Dungeon alongside his longtime partner Teddy Hart. The former Lucha Underground, JAPW and AAA star can still fly with the best of them and will look to use speed over violence to take down the King of American Hardcore.
