After the match, Suzuki-gun (El Desperado, Taichi, Minoru Suzuki & Zack Sabre Jr.) attacked to leave Ishii lying as Zack made the challenge. On January 4th 2019 in the Tokyo Dome, at Wrestle Kingdom 13, Zack Sabre Jr. will face Tomohiro Ishii for the RevPro Championship, which was defended on the recent Power Struggle card as Ishii defeated Suzuki. This signifies the next step in the relationship between RevPro and NJPW, as New Japan has allowed it’s biggest partners to have title matches on it’s biggest show of the year in the past.

Despite setting up in 2012, the title has a very respected and protected lineage as it has only been held by 8 different wrestlers in its 6-year history. Past names to hold this title include current WWE Champion AJ Styles, Katsuyori Shibata, Zack himself is a two-time champion, as is Ishii, Colt Cabana and Marty Scurll have had one reign each. One of England’s most prestigious titles makes it’s way to the Tokyo Dome, as Ishii and ZSJ get a marquee singles match most fans were desperate for.
