AAA Worldwide presents tonight Heroes Inmortales XII in Puebla, Mexico. The show is short, but with some good developments and a big rumble in the middle of the card. La Copa Anotino Peña will have some of the biggest wrestlers in AAA fighting in the name of the founder of the company. Moreover, Jeff Jarrett, the evil foreigner who disrespects Mexicans crowds, will put his hair on the line against the legend himself Dr.Wagner Jr. The AAA Heroes Inmortales will be on Twitch at 8:30 pm eastern.
AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: Keyra vs. Starfire vs. Faby Apache (C) vs. Surprise Wreslter
The opener of Heroes Inmortales features three great women wrestlers and a mystery component. Even though Faby Apache is now bald, she still holds the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. Keyra is a solid wrestler on the rise. Starfire is still a work in progress. The three women for this match will likely have a solid match, but not more than that. As for the mystery opponent, the famous Lucha Blog reported that Impact Wrestling‘s Scarlett Bordeaux could be the chosen one, given the big YouTube hits that her debut with AAA showed.
Mamba, Pimpinela Escarlata & Máximo vs. Nuevo Poder del Norte (Tito Santana, Carta Brava Jr. & Mocho Cota Jr.) vs. Laredo Kid, Aero Star & Drago
Not a very important match, we have already seen the exoticos take action in AAA against other trios. Nuevo Porder del Norte and the trio of Laredo Kid, Aero Star and Drago have the big chance of winning this match. Aero Star is in a weird placewherere he’s no longer partners with Drago and also, wants to try the independents. Look for Laredo Kid to delivered in this match.
AAA World Tag Team Championship: Rey Escorpion & Texano Jr. (c) vs. Bandido & Flamita vs. Andrew Everett & DJ Z
This is the show stealer right here. Los Mercenario‘s Rey Scorpion & Texano Jr. are the big boys in the tag team division, but, younger and more agile teams want their gold. Bandido & Flamita won the championship opportunity in a ladder match on TripleMania. Moreover, Impact Wrestling – and Ring of Honor with Everett – will have their representatives, DJ Z & Andrew Everett, delivering highflying moves. This match could go either way, I’m really rooting for Bandido and Flamita, but Los Mercernarios could easily retain the title tonight.
Copa Antonio Peña: Hijo del Fantasma, La Parka, Pagano, Chessman, La Máscara, Australian Suicide, Averno, Hijo del Vickingo, La Parka Negra, Angelikal, Super Fly, Dragon Bane & Niño Hamburguesa
The traditional rumble in honor of the founder of AAA takes center stage with some familiar faces and some new names. The top favorites for the match are Hijo del Fantasma, Pagano, La Parka and La Mascara. The match could predict a future big run for any of the winners, but at the same time, the winner could disappeared from prominence in AAA. This rumble is deemed as a big win for whoever wins it and in that regard, Hijo del Fantasma needs this win after his unmasking at TripleMania. If he does, he would have won it for the second year in a row.
Murder Clown & Psycho Clown vs. Killer Kross & Surprise Wrestlers
This match works as a exhibition than anything else. Psycho Clown is the main face of AAA, but hasn’t had a predominantly big role in the company recently. Killer Kross is their favorite big foreigner. Murder Clown is getting a big push recently, even appearing at the Impact Wrestling taping. The mystery opponent could Blue Demon, who turned heel on Psycho Clown in a recent taping. Lucha Blog argues that LA Park is also a possibility. Anyway, the match looks like filler than anything else on the card.
Hair vs. Hair: Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Jeff Jarrett
The main event of Heroes Inmortales XII could have Jeff Jarret finally loosing his precious hair. This is the first time we see on a big stage, Dr. Wagner putting his hair on the line. This match won’t be pretty, as Jarrett has shown how old he is for the ring. Wagner, although solid, already announced his intentions for a TripleMania main event next year against LA Park. Jarrett could be on the verge of losing his hair, no matter how many heel tactics he employs this time around. The feud has been surprisingly consistent – even before TripleMania – and Jarrett has been a superb professional in Mexico recently. This match could easily not end with a definitive winner or with a weird twist by AAA.
