Women’s Wrestling Revolution debuts on Long Island on October 28th with WWR vs. The World. This will be a double-header with WWE Evolution. The event will take place at the New York Wrestling Connection Sportatorium and bell time is 2:00 pm ET. If you can’t make it out to the show, no need to worry! It will be streaming live on Powerbomb.TV, and of course available on demand after.
Alisha Edwards vs. Davienne vs. Oceanea vs. Skylar
This four-way match will be a lot of fun. Skylar, Davienne, and Oceanea are all on the upswing following wins at Facelift. Alisha Edwards, on the other hand, is looking to regain some momentum. She came away from Facelift with a loss, so a win would do her a world of good. This is also a four-way styles clash as each woman is very different from the other. Davienne is the powerhouse, armed with a ground and pound style. Alisha and Skylar are perhaps the most similar, employing a combination of high flying and technical styles. Oceanea is a breed all her own, with not only her in-ring arsenal but the mind games as well.
Indi Hartwell & Tessa Blanchard vs. The Bird and The Bee (Willow Nightingale & Solo Darling)
One of the queens of the women’s wrestling scene is undeniably Tessa Blanchard. At WWR vs. The World, she will be teaming up with “Impressive” Indi Hartwell. Just two years into her career, Indi has quickly risen through the ranks of both the Australian and American independent scenes. With these two joining forces, it will be a formidable force for their opponents to overcome. Speaking of their opponents, they are Willow Nightingale and Solo Darling. Both Willow and Solo were on the winning side of things at Facelift, so they have a slight momentum advantage. This match will also feature a clash of styles. Indi and Tessa have incredible technical expertise while Willow and Solo employ more strength in their game. Willow and Solo also have the advantage of having teamed up before.
Thunder Rosa vs. Harlow O’Hara
“La Mera Mera” Thunder Rosa and Harlow O’Hara are both making their returns to WWR. Thunder Rosa hasn’t been to WWR since 2017’s The Show Must Go On, while O’Hara just turned WWR into the Church of Harlow at Facelift. Thunder Rosa was successful in her last outing, but that was in tag team action. Here she is all by herself as she takes on the priestess. Thunder Rosa is no stranger to mind games, but no one uses them quite like Harlow. Harlow also has a size and strength advantage. However, when it comes to speed and high-flying, those definitely are in Thunder Rosa’s favor. Will O’Hara convert a new member to the Church of Harlow? Or will Thunder Rosa’s heart overcome in the end?
Penelope Ford vs. Jessica Troy
Penelope Ford is a woman on a mission. The blond with ambition is coming off a loss at Facelift to Santana Garrett. Jessica Troy, another Australian sensation, is making her WWR debut. The “Bad Girl” Ford versus the bubbly Troy is going to be an interesting match-up. Don’t let Troy’s bubbly attitude fool you though. She can wrestle her little Aussie butt off. Penelope is no slouch in the ring either, so both women will give their all.
Zoe Lucas vs. Karen Q
Zoe Lucas is also making her WWR debut at this event. She will be taking on Mae Young Classic competitor, Karen Q. Both women have been wrestling for about the same amount of time, so one really doesn’t have that advantage over the other. Karen may have been in more high-profile promotions and matches, but Zoe is not one to sleep on. Will Karen Q be able to continue her hot streak, or will she be unseated by the new girl?
LuFisto vs. Shazza McKenzie
This is a first-time-ever match-up! The world traveled veteran LuFisto will be taking on the final member of the Australian contingent, Shazza McKenzie. This is also Shazza’s WWR debut, while LuFisto hasn’t been seen since March. LuFisto is really starting to get back on track following her recent health scare, so a win here would help build momentum. The newlywed Shazza looks to make a big splash by gaining a huge win over the veteran. Shazza is very technical with some high-flying, while LuFisto is a jack-of-all-trades in the ring. This one is hard to predict, as both women are so talented.
Jazz vs. Jordynne Grace
The fan-favorite ace, Jordynne Grace will be taking on a living legend. Jazz, making her WWR debut, is coming off a hard fought NWA Women’s Championship defense this past weekend, against another woman on the card, Penelope Ford. The 2x WWE Women’s Champion is a self-proclaimed “bad-ass bitch” who has conquered every promotion she’s ever been part of. Jordynne Grace, or “Thicc Mama Pump” is a newcomer compared to Jazz’s long career. However, Jordynne has made her mark in wrestling, against both men and women. This is going to be a hoss fight, two bulls hooking up to see who’s the baddest. There may be some wrestling holds, some technical moments but will most likely be defined by strength and brawling. On paper, this is a match of the night and even match of the year material. It surely won’t disappoint, so be sure to tune in for this match.
Kimber Lee vs. Alpha Female
This is a match that has been over a year in the making. This is the sought-after rematch from the inaugural Mae Young Classic. On the WWE Network, Kimber Lee (aka Abbey Laith) barely squeaked by with a win over the Alpha Female, Jazzy Gabert. Now on Powerbomb.TV, we will get to see who will get the win this time around. Now that Kimber is back on the independent scene, she is a very different woman. She is hungrier, she works harder and is a wrestler’s wrestler. The Alpha Female is making her WWR debut, and like Jazz, she needs no introduction. A behemoth powerhouse from Germany, the Alpha Female is used to steamrolling whoever gets in her way. This opponent though, she won’t just roll over. This is a must-see match that also has match of the night and match of the year written all over it.
Also scheduled to appear at WWR vs. The World is Terra Calaway. If you can’t make it out to the NYWC Sportatorium, Powerbomb.TV is your hook-up. It will be streaming live starting at 2:00 pm Eastern on Sunday, October 28th. It will also be available on demand after the live showing.
