The ending to Defiant Wrestling‘s Fight or Flight iPPV saw Gabriel Kidd, fresh off losing to Rampage for the World Championship just seconds before, slap general manager Primate in the jaw. This is a noteworthy moment as Primate was forced to retire in March due to issues with his jaw, claiming that any impact would completely smash it. If it wasn’t for Rory Coyle, there could’ve been much more serious consequences for Primate.

Kidd and Rampage’s match took several minutes to begin, with Kidd deciding to ambush the champion all around the ringside area before the bell officially rang. The Young Bull has been on an incredibly impressive run since ditching Prince Ameen back in March, holding victories over Martin Kirby, Simon Miller, and Ameen himself. Although he was unsuccessful in capturing the championship, he certainly left his mark on the entire night.
This marked the culmination of an intense night of action for Defiant in their return to Sheffield. Other notable happenings saw WALTER retain the Internet Championship in a phenomenal outing with Mark Davis, El Phantasmo cementing himself as WALTER’s next challenger after pinning Will Ospreay, and the match between Joe Hendry and Martin Kirby going to a no contest following their attack on several staff members.
Fight or Flight will be available to watch in the coming days on Access Defiant.
