The year 2018 has seen a resurgence in the 23 year career of joshi icon Meiko Satomura and it continued over the weekend. In Germany, Meiko Satomura was part of the 2018 Femme Fatales tournament with Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) and after defeating Wesna in the first round and Millie McKenzie in the semi-final, she defeated another women’s pioneer in Canadian indie legend LuFisto to win the annual wXw event.

It caps off an amazing year for Meiko Satomura, the co-founder of joshi promotion Sendai Girls, that has seen her capture the Fight Club: PRO Championship in the UK and the KO-D Openweight Championship with Japan’s Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) Pro and have some of the best matches of the 2018 WWE Mae Young Classic, including an absolute clinic against Mercedes Martinez last week.
Thank you very much.
I won the tournament.
I had three matches today day. I wanted to give up, but I endured and pushed through.
A strong heart is necessary.
