Over the last few nights, Riptide Wrestling has been running a tournament to crown their first ever Brighton Champion. After three action packed shows, the tournament came down to Chuck Mambo and Spike Trivet. As good faced evil and one of the Riptide fan favourites faced a member of the hated stable, Money Versus Everything (Trivet, Chris Ridgeway & Damon Moser), it was Chuck Mambo who walked away with the win much to the delight of the crowd.
On his route to the final, Mambo defeated Angelico, Jordan Devlin and Ridgeway to secure his spot in the final. Trivet defeated The OJMO, Candyfloss and Jonah Rock (much to the chagrin of the audience). Mambo was up against it in the final as Money Versus Everything tried to stick their nose in and help Trivet steal another win. But arch nemesis Jack Sexsmith fought them off, allowing Mambo to win the match and the championship.
Sexsmith made his presence felt on the event run in conjunction with Brighton Pride and will surely feel the wrath of Trivet for his actions. Mambo earns another big moment in 2018 after being an entrant in Super Strong Style 16 and now makes history as the first ever Brighton Champion.
