Ever since Sami Callihan called out Chris Jericho‘s Rock N’ Rager Cruise (or Cruise of Jericho) for not including Impact Wrestling, fans have begun to think of dream matches featuring Impact stars against Ring of Honor‘s. The first one was revealed as a singles match between Sami Callihan and Bullet Club‘s “Villain” Marty Scurll, but it appears we have our first tag team match-up in the war at sea. It appears that Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions LAX (Santana & Ortiz) will be facing off against Ring of Honor and NJPW tag team and current IWGP Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) on the cruise ship.
It started out when LAX’s manager Konnan called out The Young Bucks, asking if the two high flyers have “ever bled”. He called them out for a first blood match against the Young Bucks at the Cruise on Saturday on his podcast, Keepin’ It 100.

The call out was then retweeted by Impact’s Executive VP Don Callis, who also works commentary for NJPW and was selected earlier to be a part of ALL IN’s broadcast team.

This morning, the challenge caught the ears of Young Bucks’ Matt Jackson, he accepted on behalf of his brother, Nick Jackson, and asked Chris Jericho to make it official.

The match will see one of indie wrestling’s most influential tag teams, the Young Bucks – 7x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, 4x PWG World Tag Team Champions, 3x ROH World Tag Team Champions, 3x NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions, and current IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions – face one of the indie scene’s emerging tag team sensations in Santana & Ortiz of LAX. Prior to debuting with Impact Wrestling last year as Konnan’s new tandem in LAX, they duo competed as EYFBO (Entertain Your F**king Balls Off), under the names Angel Ortiz and Mike Draztik (Santana). Apart from being the reigning and 3x Impact World Tag Team Champions, they’re also 3x (and reigning) House of Glory (HOG) Tag Team Champions, CZW World Tag Team Champions and reigning Wrestle Pro Tag Team Champions.
The first set of matches announced for the Jericho Cruise was Ring of Honor’s Sea of Honor Tournament, a 16-man tournament featuring ROH stars including ROH World Champion Jay Lethal.
Prior to the LAX vs Young Bucks match, there were two other non-tournament matches announced. The first being the aforementioned Callihan vs. Scurll match, and the second being The Alpha Club (Chris Jericho & The Young Bucks, aka Y2Jackson) vs. Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes & Marty Scurll). The Chris Jericho Rock N’ Rager sails out of Miami on October 27 for a 4-day journey to Nassau in the Bahamas and back.
