It was a bizarre night for Bullet Club last night in San Francisco at the NJPW G1 Special. On one hand, Kenny Omega defeated Cody Rhodes to retain his IWGP Heavyweight Championship and leadership of Bullet Club, with Cody and Kenny making amends. So Bullet Club is fine right?

Wrong.
Shortly after Kenny was celebrating his win with The Young Bucks, the Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) stormed the ring with their father (and tag partner earlier in the evening) WWE/WCW Legend Haku, taking out the Bucks in the process. The proceeded to drag Kenny back to the ring, where the three systematically decimated every member of the Bullet Club who dared to challenge them. And that included two members who had long sided with the Tongans, Yujiro Takahashi and “Honorary Tongan” Chase Owens.

Tanga Loa’s closing words about what the Bullet Club was all about harkens back to the warnings that Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale have been issuing for almost the past year. The last remaining original members – Fale and Tonga were both part of Bullet Club’s inception when Prince Devitt (aka Finn Balor) created the stable along with Karl Anderson – have been growing increasingly frustrated with The Elite’s “rockstar” shenanigans, most of which the Bullet Club OGs have found growing further and further away from Bullet Club’s original mandate – which was to take everyone down and out and rule the roost. The Bullet Club members that wrestle predominantly in Japan, lead by Fale and Tonga, even have their own Twitter, with which they’ve been hinting at returning the BC back to its original mission statement for ages.

Following the beat down on the entire Bullet Club roster, Tama Tonga responded simply with the following picture on his Twitter, a reference to the Tongans new BC faction, Firing Squad.

Now that Tama Tonga has forced a hostile takeover of Bullet Club – after all, their new shirts still have BC on them – will the beat down members continue to wave a Bullet Club flag and fight back? Who will join the Meng Dynasty – Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Bad Luck Fale, Hikuleo and Haku – in restoring the original bad-assery of the early Bullet Club? Just when it seemed like the Bullet Club was finally back together, it’s been ripped even farther apart.
