Following injuries to both Phoenix of RISE Champion Delilah Doom and her challenger, Shotzi Blackheart, a new Phoenix of RISE Champion needed to be crowned at last night’s RISE of the Impacts event, a co-production between RISE and Impact Wrestling. A 30-minute Iron Woman match was set to do just that, between indie veteran Mercedes Martinez and Tessa Blanchard, who had already competed earlier in the evening, scoring a win over Kris Wolf. Blanchard scored two pin falls to Martinez’ one, becoming the fourth Phoenix of RISE Champion.

The win marks Tessa Blanchard’s fourth major Women’s Championship, as she’s also the current reigning WrestleCircus Lady of the Ring Champion, PCW ULTRA Women’s Champion, and Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU) Champion. She’s also the Women’s Champion for new Chicago promotion, Zelo Pro Wrestling.
