On CMLL Informa – aired on Tuesdays – Rey Fenix appeared and said that he was coming to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.
Fenix, who has been everywhere lately, from Impact Wrestling to Major League Wrestling (MLW) on Bein Sports, said that he wasn’t coming alone, which could mean that Pentagon Jr. could also appear in CMLL. “The day has come, I’m going to show you that wrestling is in my blood. A Rebellion is coming not, only to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, but in wrestling”, said Fenix in the video presentation showed at the end of the show.

Various media outlets have reported that the deal stroke with Fenix could be similar to LA Park’s, which is per dates and not a signed contract. Fenix works regularly with The Crash Lucha Libre and is still being promoted for future shows with the company. Also, he has been active in the United States, especially with Lucha Underground, Impact Wrestling, MLW, All-American Wrestling (AAW) and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG).

The deal could signal the Fenix (and possibly Penta 0M) aren’t ready to head to AAA quite yet, which is now being booked by Konnan. Rumors were that the Lucha Brothers could reappear in AAA for the Verano de Escándalo show and specifically with the MAD faction commanded by Juventud Guerrera, but with this move, is now uncertain if that is going to happen later.
Lucha Blog, which is one of the best sources for Lucha Libre news, reported the following, “I’d expect he’s not coming alone. Penta el Zero M teased an appearance in Arena Mexico on the most recent The Crash show and in interviews after. Fenix teases the Rebelion coming in the promo. The possibility of these luchadors coming in to CMLL was first hinted at by the Wrestling Observer recently.” Fenix and his brother, Penta, could be in a unique situation, which by the end of 2018, they would have wrestle the top three wrestling promotions in Mexico (CMLL, AAA & The Crash).
