The most despised World Champion in pro wrestling history, former WCW World Heavyweight Champion (and Hollywood actor) David Arquette appeared at this afternoon’s WrestleCon event Pancakes & Piledrivers II: The Indy Summit, presented by Pro Wrestling Revolver, AAW and Fight Club: PRO. He came out of the crowd to challenge the AAW and PWR Tag Team Champions, Besties in the World. In a strange coincidence (or is it?), today marks the 18th anniversary of the release date for Ready to Rumble, the WCW produced feature film that starred Arquette and lead to him winning the WCW World title from Eric Bischoff on Monday Nitro a few weeks later. Arquette would lose the title three weeks later to one of last night’s WWE Hall of Fame inductees, Jeff Jarrett.
