At last night’s Impact Wrestling tapings for One Night Only: March Breakdown in conjunction with Border City Wrestling (BCW) in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, BCW Announcer Jeffrey Scott (who also ring announces for Impact Wrestling) told the live crowd during the intermission that Impact Wrestling would be holding its June Impact tapings in Windsor at BCW’s regular venue at St. Clair College. Windsor is located directly across from Detroit, Michigan, divided by only the Detroit River. Last night’s One Night Only was a capacity crowd of 900 at the old gymnasium, while BCW has also run larger shows, such as their annual Excellence, at the newer Sports Complex, which saw over 1,200 fans in attendance. Much like NXT’s working relationship with Full Sail University, BCW works with St. Clair College’s production students in presenting a world class event. The tapings will take place on Friday June 1 and Saturday June 2. No ticket info has been announced as of yet, but there’s rumoured to be dual day package deals.

Impact’s increasing involvement with Border City Wrestling is a no brainer when you consider that Impact Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore is the owner of BCW and has had a hand in training many of Impact’s most memorable stars, such as Moose, Rosemary, and Petey Williams, as well as WWE Superstars Rhyno, Bobby Roode and Eric Young, ROH Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) and NJPW’s KUSHIDA. When Impact debuted a new presentation segment of airing matches from various indies around the world featuring Impact talent versus local performers, BCW was one of the first companies featured, with matches from last year’s BCW Excellence ’17. Since then, BCW matches have frequented many Impact tapings in the past few months. Last night’s sold out One Night Stand (and no, tickets weren’t given away or audience members paid to be there), with Impact President Ed Nordholm in the building, was high in energy, with Windsor and Detroit wrestling fans giving their all to match the action in the ring. Impact Wrestling Talent Relations & Production guy Jason James stated on Twitter that last night’s One Night Only would be available on the Global Wrestling Network (GWN) on Friday March 16.
