Match Point: Keith Lee vs Tomohiro Ishii (5/11/18)

RevPro has announced the rematch between WWN Live champion Keith Lee and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Tomohiro Ishii for May 11 at the annual big event Epic Encounter. The first meeting at RevPro Global Wars was a match of the year contender. Keith Lee used his size advantage, but “The Stone Pitbull” mounted a comeback and lifted the 300-pound Lee with a Brainbuster. Both deliver some of the best matches in pro wrestling today but when they collide again it’s a heavyweight match that can’t be missed.

Heavy blows will be expected, Keith Lee uses a devastating Spirit Bomb and Ground Zero, while Ishii has mastered the Lariat and still manages to get the big man off his feet. This could be “Limitless” Keith Lee’s biggest victory of his career and top his last performance. This is why the UK promotion Rev Pro is one of the best promotions to watch for your dollar. Even at 42 years of age, Tomohiro Ishii is known around the world as still being maybe the best brawler in any pro wrestling promotion. Ishii has faced them all, from Kazuchika Okada to Kassius Ohno and this is another testament to his ability to perform with anyone. Dont look any further if you want to see the intense slug-fest of the year.

The career of Keith Lee has only skyrocketed since 2017 when he made the decision to leave Ring Of Honor Wrestling for EVOLVE Wrestling and he has been matched up with top independent wrestler’s like Matt Riddle and WWE NXT’s Donovan Dijak with a great winning ratio. Lee made it to the finals of PWG Battle Of Los Angeles tournament but lost to Ricochet in a three-way with Jeff Cobb. Now that Lee has been opening more eyes in Europe with matches in PROGRESS Wrestling and Over The Top Wrestling (OTT), it may be time for him to step foot in NJPW. Zack Sabre Jr, Will Ospreay and Marty Scurll are all regular performers in NJPW partly due to the joint partnership between NJPW and RevPro, there is no doubt NJPW booker Gedo will be watching Keith Lee Vs Tomohiro Ishii on RevPro On Demand.
