BREAKING: The Dudley Boyz Announced for 2018 WWE Hall of Fame

First reported by CBS Sports this morning, then confirmed by the WWE, The Dudley Boyz are headed to the WWE Hall of Fame in New Orleans as the second inductees announced following the previous announcement of Goldberg as the headliner.

The “brothers” from Dudleyville were rumored to join this year’s class, but today it was made official, that the  25x Tag Team Champions will be this year’s tag team inductees. The Dudley Boyz, consisting of Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley, began in ECW in 1996, before making the jump to WWE in 1999, where the helped rejuvenate the tag team division alongside rivals Edge & Christian and the Hardy Boyz. They left for TNA in 2005 for a ten year run, before ultimately returning to the WWE in 2015 for a year. D-Von retired in 2016 to assume a position as a backstage producer/agent with the WWE, while Bubba Ray would move on to Ring of Honor for a final run, before retiring himself at the end of 2017. In a 20 year career together, the Dudley Boyz finished as 9x WWE Tag Team Champions, 8x ECW Tag Team Champions, 2x Impact Tag Team Champions, 2x IWGP Tag Team Champions, 1x WCW Tag Team Champions, plus runs as NWA Tag Team Champions (in TNA), Hustle (Japan), and New York’s 2CW (Squared Circle Wrestling) Tag Team Champions.
