At tonight’s WCPW iPPV Refuse To Lose, Bullet Club member “The Villain” Marty Scurll beat Joe Hendry to become the new WCPW World Heavyweight Champion, ending “The Prestigious One”‘s 156-day reign as World Champion. Scurll will be the World Champion when the promotion rebrands in December as Defiant Wrestling (unless he loses it by then). With his 156-day reign, Hendry had just passed Drew Galloway (aka Drew McIntyre) as the longest reigning WCPW World Champion (Galloway held it for 150 days). This marks the third World title of Scurll’s career, following two reigns as PROGRESS World Champion and one as wXw‘s Unified World Champion in Germany.
