WWE Backlash Preview: Shinsuke Nakamura vs Dolph Ziggler
The Story: Post-WrestleMania call ups from NXT are the most entertaining part of the product, this year no call up was more anticipated and more wanted than that of “The King Of Strong Style” Shinsuke Nakamura. On SmackdownLive he made his presence known, after a MIZTV segment the lights dimmed and Lee England Jr. was standing with his violin and as soon as the first chords played the crowd knew exactly what was coming and they were ready singing along to “The Rising Sun” and giving him a huge pop. Nakamura entered with his charisma turned up to 11 and a hot crowd making him look every bit the superstar he is, a new star had arrived on SDL and this rubbed up a certain “Show Stealer” the wrong way. Ziggler couldn’t understand why the crowd loved a guy who never had a main roster match and treated Ziggler, who has been on the main roster a long time, with apathy, Ziggler has carried the promos in the feud putting down Nakamura and his mannerisms and questioning how good he is. Nakamura has taken the less is more approach and simply wants to kick Zigglers head off.
The match: Those expecting an NXT debut style match from Nakamura and Ziggler will be dissapointed Ziggler is no Sami Zayn and the purpose of the matches are totally different. This match will be similar to most of Nak’s TV matches on NXT with the the heel grounding Nak after an opening flurry only to fall to the Nakamura’s signature offence and eventually eat a Kinshasa. The main selling point here is to see how well Ziggler sells the Kinshasa and seeing if Nakamura gets put over like the star he is.
Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura to win a one-sided affair
