Darius Anderson 2020 NFL Draft Profile
Darius Anderson had almost 5,000 career rushing yards and over 50 rushing touchdowns in high school and helped lead his team to a state championship his senior year. He had multiple offers from multitude schools but he decided to stay in his home state of Texas and committed to Texas Christian University (TCU). Anderson saw little playing time as a freshman, and only managed to have 27 carries for 229 yards. As a sophomore, he became a bigger part of the Horned Frogs’ offensive game plan and he had 128 carries for 768 yards and eight touchdowns.
But Anderson’s junior year was somewhat of a disappointment as he saw a drop in yards, touchdowns, and yards per carry. He had only 598 rushing yards and three touchdowns that season. Going into his senior season Anderson saw some competition in the backfield and was listed as as third string to start the season. However, Anderson managed to become the lead running back soon after the season began. He had his best season of his career with 151 carries for 823 yards and six touchdowns. He also managed to have 22 receptions for 128 yards which were both career highs for him.

Bottom Line on Darius Anderson
Darius Anderson will most likely be a day three pick with some upside for a team that needs to add depth at running back. His best chance of making a team’s roster will be because of his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and his kick return experience. At best, Anderson looks to be a third down or change of pace back in the NFL. He doesn’t have the speed or power to be an every down running back in this league.
