Although the Los Angeles Rams have one of the NFL’s best rosters, they will still need their young players to make a major impact this season if the team hopes for a championship run.
Players such as Braden Fiske, Blake Corum, and Kobie Turner are all candidates to elevate their play.
Although these young players are at different stages in their careers, each could provide valuable contributions to the team, as the Los Angeles Rams chase another Super Bowl.
Which Young Los Angeles Rams Player Is Most Likely to Break Out in 2026?
Blake Corum
Blake Corum is the second-string running back on the depth chart, but he remains an important part of the Rams’ offense. Entering his third year, a breakout season from Corum could be exactly what the Rams need to reach the next level and win the Super Bowl.
Some of the league’s best teams, including the Detroit Lions, rely on dynamic running back duos. Kyren Williams is the starter, but if Corum improves from 746 rushing yards to 1,000 this year, it could transform the Rams’ offense, making them elite in the running game.
The Rams’ offense depends heavily on the Matthew Stafford–Puka Nacua connection. Williams is also a key contributor after finishing with 1,252 yards last season. However, a 1,000-yard Williams-Corum duo would make the offense less predictable and more balanced. The Lions have used a similar approach to build one of the NFL’s highest-scoring offenses in recent years. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery became a power duo in the Detroit backfield, elevating the Lions to another level. If Corum continues to develop, he could solidify himself as a crucial piece of a championship roster.
Braden Fiske
Braden Fiske is entering his third season with the Rams after an impressive second year. After recording only three sacks last season, he will try to take a step forward. The defensive end was drafted in 2024 alongside his Florida State teammate Jared Verse.
While Verse was drafted ahead of him, they now find themselves on different teams after the Myles Garrett trade. Fiske started 16 games last season which was more than eight in his rookie season. His playing time has increased and now with the addition of Garrett less attention will be placed on him. Fiske should see this year as an opportunity to put his name on the map. A jump from his 8.5 sacks in his rookie year could set him apart from other talented pass rushers.
Kobie Turner
Kobie Turner is another pass rusher that could benefit from a breakout season. At age 27, Turner is at an interesting place in his career. Entering his fourth and last year of his contract, this might be his last year with the Rams. A contract year could provide extra motivation and force him to elevate his game.
Turner’s number of sacks has decreased since his rookie year starting with nine in 2023, eight in 2024 and finishing last year with seven. Turner is a solid defender and has the ability to mix between power and finesse when rushing the quarterback. He understands coverages well and can generate pressure effectively.
Like Fiske, the addition of Garrett could benefit Turner. Garrett often gets doubled at the line of scrimmage. As an all-time great player, Garrett will draw a lot of attention and allow others to succeed at the line of scrimmage. The added attention on Garrett could be what Turner needs to excel and breakout this season. No doubt Turner wants to stay with the Los Angeles Rams, but if he wants an extension, he may need to elevate his play to prove his value to general manager Les Snead and the front office.
