NFL Analyst Destroys Tom Brady "He Doesn't Know What He's Doing"

NFL Analyst Destroys Tom Brady: “He Doesn’t Know What He Is Doing”

FOX Sports analyst Rob Parker is already stirring up controversy over Fernando Mendoza before the rookie has even taken an NFL snap. During a recent segment discussing the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback situation, the NFL analyst said Mendoza could ultimately become a bust while also taking a shot at minority owner Tom Brady by claiming Brady “doesn’t know what he is doing” when it comes to evaluating quarterbacks. Unsurprisingly, those comments immediately grabbed attention online because criticizing Brady and questioning a rookie quarterback in the same breath is only going to catch fire on the internet.

Can Tom Brady Prove the NFL Analyst Wrong?

That is the intriguing secondary storyline hovering over the Raiders quarterback decision going forward. While Fernando Mendoza is viewed as a franchise quarterback, comments about Brady and the organization are going to look incredibly poor in retrospect if Mendoza struggles early or fails to adjust to the speed of the NFL.

The recent statements by the FOX Sports NFL analyst will look even worse just as quickly. While it is not necessarily fair or logical, Brady’s connection to the Raiders brings that level of scrutiny to every Raiders quarterback decision. When arguably the best quarterback in the history of the game is tied to the player assessment process, expectations will be very high.

That pressure will likely be even greater if  Mendoza stumbles in the early going. The Raiders organization has long been trying to solve its problems at the quarterback position. If Mendoza is successful, Brady will undoubtedly receive massive credit for finding the face of the franchise. If he does not, an NFL Analyst like Parker will continue to question if the future Hall of Fame quarterback knows how to scout the next generation of NFL talent.

Will Fernando Mendoza Be a Bust?

Obviously, this question is one that nobody in Las Vegas wants to answer this early on, but now it is hard to ignore since this NFL analyst put it out into the universe. Mendoza has not yet taken a single snap in an NFL game, and calling him a future star or future bust right now is just plain silly.

However, the expectation is that the young quarterback will soar quickly in today’s NFL, especially with Brady’s name still attached to the franchise. But if Mendoza struggles from day one, the criticism will not be far behind, especially with an NFL analyst like Parker lurking. However, if Mendoza flashes potential, these comments may end up looking very premature and will make the Raiders question if Parker should even call himself an NFL analyst.

Will Rob Parker eat his words?

The FOX Sports analyst certainly did not hold back with his comments surrounding Mendoza and Brady. Whether fans agree with him or not, remarks like these are only going to increase the pressure and attention surrounding the young Raiders quarterback before he even takes a regular-season snap.

Parker may ultimately end up being completely wrong if Mendoza develops into the long-term answer Las Vegas has desperately searched for at quarterback. But if the rookie struggles early, these comments are going to come flying back across social media at full speed. That is simply how the NFL conversation cycle works now, especially when Brady’s name is attached to the situation.

The truth of the matter is that quarterbacks endorsed by Brady are never going to get the benefit of the doubt from the media or fans. Every throw, every mistake, and every win is going to be magnified because people expect Brady to identify franchise quarterbacks better than almost anyone alive. By the end of 2026, we will have a better understanding as to whether or not Brady’s evaluation of Mendoza is on the mark.
