Domani Jackson 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report, CB Alabama
Background:
Jackson attended Mater Dei High School in California, where he was a five-star recruit. He was the 15th overall-ranked recruit in the class of 2022, the No. 2-ranked cornerback, and the No. 1-ranked recruit in California, according to 247Sports. Jackson was also a track athlete, and he tied the California state record in the 100 meters with a time of 10.25 seconds. He committed to USC and played in 18 games over two seasons for the Trojans. Jackson then transferred to Alabama in 2024 and started all 13 games in his first season with the team. He finished second on the team in total pass deflections with seven. In the 2025 season, Jackson played in all 15 games and helped Alabama reach the College Football Playoffs.
Strengths:
Jackson is a tough corner with good size, arm length, and play strength. He has quick feet, good hip fluidity, and is great in press coverage. Jackson is physical at the line of scrimmage, he knows how to effectively use his length, and he can consistently reroute receivers. A former track star who ran a 4.41 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine, Jackson has incredible long speed to effectively carry receivers vertically downfield. In zone coverage, Jackson shows solid awareness and eye discipline. Jackson is also is a very willing tackler in run support.
Weaknesses:
Jackson can be overaggressive at times and is susceptible to double moves. He can also be overly physical and grabby downfield, leading to penalties. Against the run, he takes too many bad angles to the ball carrier, and he has an inconsistent tackling technique. Jackson doesn’t have great ball skills. He needs to do a better job tracking the ball downfield and improve his consistency in contested catch situations. Jackson did not have great ball production during his college career. He finished the 2025 season with zero interceptions and just one pass deflection, and he recorded just two interceptions throughout his entire college career.
Potential Team Fits:
NFL Projection:
Jackson is physical corner with elite speed and is a former five-star recruit. He excels in press coverage, where he knows how to use his length and has the ability to reroute receivers and disrupt timing. Jackson is also a very willing tackler in run support, but needs to do a better job with consistent tackling technique and limiting missed tackles. He can also be overaggressive at times in coverage, leading to penalties or getting beaten downfield. If Jackson can improve his consistency and discipline in coverage, and his ability to make plays when the ball is in the air, he has the speed and physicality to potentially be a productive cornerback in the NFL.
