2026 NFL Draft Profile Ar'Maj Reed-Adams

Ar’maj Reed-Adams 2026 NFL Draft Profile

Ar’maj Reed-Adams is not just massive; he is a power-schemed run blocking guard who has a nasty streak as a blocker.

Ar’maj Reed-Adams 2026 NFL Draft Overview

With 56 games of experience at both Kansas and Texas A&M, scouts have seen enough to know his game transfers well to the pro game. He has the physical tools to excel and is not afraid of contact in the trenches and clearing out space for running backs. Many are concerned with the number of penalties he racked up in college, and coaches will have work to do to refine his game. There is some concern about his durability, with shoulder surgery in 2024 leading to some doubt if he can stand up to the battles in trenches against top nose tackles.

Strengths

  • Very physical and likes playing in the trenches
  • Dominant run blocker, described by scouts as a mauler
  • Reed-Adams consistently generates movement on the line and acts like a road grader on the interior
  • Clocked at 5.28 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine
  • 35-inch arms allow him to keep defenders off his body
  • Arm length allows Reed-Adams to use them as leverage in creating space on the interior
  • Played at Kansas, then Texas A&M, has experience against top competition
  • Played 56 games in college, experience at both guard and tackle
  • Plays with a nasty demeanor from whistle to whistle
  • Demonstrates good footwork and solid use of hands in interior line play
  • Solid leader, team captain for the Aggies in 2025

Weaknesses

  • Penalty-prone, flagged for 29 penalties in three seasons of full-time play
  • Displays sloppy habits, resorting to leaning and lunging at defenders at times
  • Consistency in his hand placement is a concern, as they often move too high or too wide
  • Reed-Adams struggles with lateral quickness, and he looks overmatched against speed rushers
  • He needs to work on handling stunts and blitzes
  • Age is a concern: Reed-Adams turns 25 in his rookie season, older than teams prefer in a developmental offensive line prospect.
  • He often stands up too quickly on the snap and loses his ability to withstand tackles that have a much lower center of gravity.
  • Reed-Adams has significant room to grow as a pass blocker, struggling with stunts and blitzes.
  • Scouts are concerned about Reed-Adams weight – he has weighed in previously at 400 pounds.
  • His shoulder injury from 2024 alarms some scouts, as it is uncertain if both shoulders can take the rigors of playing guard in the NFL.
