2026 NFL Draft: Kadyn Proctor Scouting Report
After declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft as a junior, Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor may become one of the year’s most polarizing prospects. The first thing that stands out about Proctor is his enormous size. At 6’7″ and over 360 lbs., he is a formidable presence. Described by Lance Zeirlein as “a mass of humanity” with bulldozing power, Proctor is a roadblock to the opposition. However, his massive build has also proved to be a disadvantage at times.
A to Z Sports highlights multiple whiffs in his first year at “Bama” as the reason doubters could dismiss his projected first-round status. However, there’s evidence to suggest Proctor improved tremendously since his early struggles, which counters that assessment.
Proctor, A High School Standout:
A former five-star recruit from Centerville, Iowa, Proctor was viewed as the nation’s top OT in 2023. Pursued by scholarship offers from Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, Nebraska, Colorado, Alabama, Oregon, and Notre Dame, Proctor initially committed to stay home and play for the Hawkeyes. But hours before the deadline, he had a change of heart and chose the Crimson Tide.
Had Proctor remained in Iowa, he would have been the team’s premier player.
However, when he visited Alabama, Proctor saw that “All the guys that are as big as me and have the same mindset as me and worked like me. I don’t want to come into this school, and everybody thinks I’m one of the best players there already. I want to grow.” He rationalized, “I’ve got to get hit in the mouth before I can grow. And I think getting hit in the mouth is the competition (I need).”
Proctor finished second on Bruce Feldman’s annual “Freaks List” due to his immense power and strength. Dogged early on by criticism that he allowed too many sacks, Proctor redeemed himself in a 24-21 win over the Georgia Bulldogs. In addition to allowing zero pressures in 43 snaps and earning a PFF pass block grade of 80.9. Proctor demonstrated his pass-catching ability. Sprinting 11 yards, he set up a 2-yard game-winning touchdown by quarterback Ty Simpson on the very next play.

Despite a wealth of offensive talent that projects as many as six offensive tackles in the first round, with his physical gifts and sheer power, Proctor ranks high as one of the premier picks. He can be an immediate threat as a player with a high ceiling. Proctor stands out for his mental toughness and willingness to play through injury. Inconsistencies in technique and stamina should be overcome with proper conditioning and weight stabilization.
