Josh Allen's Risk-Taking Is Becoming Buffalso's Biggest Gamble

2026 Way Too Early Quarterback Rankings for Fantasy Football

The 2025 NFL and fantasy football seasons are over, which means it is time to start thinking ahead to 2026. Here are the top ten way-too-early quarterback rankings for 2026 fantasy football.

Quarterback Rankings 2026 Way Too Early Top Ten

1. Josh Allen

Here are Allen’s last six finishes among quarterbacks in fantasy football starting in 2020: QB1, QB1, QB2, QB1, QB2, and QB1. He is the surest thing in fantasy football. He has not missed a start since 2018 and has the longest active consecutive start streak. Allen is the easy choice to top the 2026 way-too-early quarterback rankings.

2. Drake Maye

Maye is coming off a QB2 finish in his first full season as a starter in the NFL. He will finish in the top two of MVP voting, if not win the award, as he looks to lead the Patriots back to the Super Bowl. Maye only had one weekly finish outside of the top 18 this season. He had nine top ten finishes. Maye did it both in the air and on the ground and will be one of the top quarterbacks off the board in 2026.

3. Lamar Jackson

Jackson had an injury-rattled year, missing four games and leaving early in two more games. In his ten full starts, he had five top finishes, including three straight top-four finishes to begin the year. He had a terrible stretch in the middle of the season where he had three straight games scoring single-digit fantasy points, and those were against some of the worst defenses in the league (CLE and NYJ). To put that in perspective, Jackson did not have a single-digit scoring performance in all of 2024. He was clearly playing hurt even when out there this season. In Jackson’s last four healthy seasons, he had been the QB1, QB10, QB4, and QB1. When fully healthy, he is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and in fantasy, and should return to form in 2026.

4. Jalen Hurts

Hurts is coming off his fifth straight top ten finish in his five full years as a starter. His rushing upside gives him one of the safest floors in fantasy football. Although the Eagles had struggles on offense at some points during the season, Hurts still delivered nine top ten finishes in his sixteen starts. Expect more of the same next season.

5. Jayden Daniels

After being a top-five fantasy quarterback in 2024, Daniels could not stay on the field in 2025. He only made seven starts, and he left early in three of them. It was a rough year for Daniels and the Commanders. He will recover in the offseason and should get back on track in 2026, although he will be one of the most injury-risk quarterbacks.

6. Jaxson Dart

Another quarterback who struggled with injuries was the rookie Dart. He only missed two games with a concussion, but he was checked for one multiple times. In his twelve full starts, he had seven top finishes, including four top-four finishes. He loves to run the ball, and he should be getting his superstar receiver back in Nabers next season. The overall QB1 is in the realm of possibilities for Dart if he can stay healthy in 2026.

7. Joe Burrow

Burrow has played six seasons in the NFL. In three of those seasons, he has played half of the season. In the other three, he has three top-seven fantasy finishes. He is another top quarterback who all he needs to do is stay on the field, and he will be one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy football in 2026.

8. Dak Prescott

Prescott had a great 2025, finishing as the QB6. It was his sixth top ten finish in his seventh full season (the other three seasons, he has failed to play in more than 12 games). Prescott does not have the rushing ability of the other top quarterbacks, but the Cowboys pass so much that it does not matter. Wide receiver George Pickens is a free agent, but expect Dallas to bring him back to have one of the best offenses in the league once again in 2026.

9. Brock Purdy

Purdy ended the season on a heater (before Week 18), having three straight top-four finishes in the fantasy playoffs. The 49ers offense battled a ton of injuries this season, including Purdy, but they were one win away from the #1 seed in the NFC. As long as everyone returns in 2026, this will be one of the best offenses in the league with head coach Kyle Shanahan. Purdy is a top ten quarterback in the way-too-early 2026 fantasy football rankings.

10. Trevor Lawrence

Since being drafted as the #1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Lawrence has not lived up to the hype in his first four seasons. That all changed with the addition of Liam Coen as the head coach of the Jaguars. Lawrence had his best season, finishing as the overall QB4. He did both in the air and on the ground, having nine rushing touchdowns, which was tied for second among quarterbacks. He ended the season with six top-seven finishes in the last seven weeks. Travis Hunter will be back in 2026, and the Jaguars extended Jakobi Meyers to pair with Brian Thomas Jr., so look for Lawrence and the offense to be explosive once again.
