Week 2 of the NFL Season was a high-scoring affair. It is time to look ahead to Week 3. Here are the Week 3 wide receiver rankings for fantasy football. A note on injuries: Xavier Worthy is questionable.
Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings Week 3
Tier 1: Superstar WR1s
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 1 | CeeDee Lamb | Chicago Bears |
| 2 | Justin Jefferson | Cincinnati Bengals |
| 3 | Malik Nabers | Kansas City Chiefs |
| 4 | Ja’Marr Chase | Minnesota Vikings |
| 5 | Puka Nacua | Philadelphia Eagles |
| 6 | Nico Collins | Jacksonville Jaguars |
| 7 | Amon-Ra St. Brown | Baltimore Ravens |
| 8 | Drake London | Carolina Panthers |
Week 1 of the NFL season was a low-scoring affair. The scoring picked up in Week 2, led by the superstar wide receivers:
- Fantasy managers who were disappointed in Chase after taking him with the 1st overall pick were much happier in Week 2. Chase caught 14 of 16 targets for 165 yards and a touchdown, finishing with over 36 fantasy points. Even when Joe Burrow left with an injury, backup quarterback Jake Browning was peppering him with targets. Chase gets a slight downgrade without Burrow, but is still a WR1 in a matchup with Justin Jefferson and the Vikings in Week 3.
- Nabers caught nine of thirteen targets for 167 yards and two touchdowns. Nabers has a tougher matchup against the Chiefs in Week 3, but he is still a top-five wide receiver.
- Nacua had eight catches for 91 yards and a 45-yard rushing touchdown.
- St. Brown had nine catches for 115 yards and three touchdowns. St. Brown has a fun matchup against the Ravens defense, which struggled in Week 1. The concerns of not having Ben Johnson as the offensive coordinator have vanished.

Tier 2: Proven Solid WR2s
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 9 | Jaxon Smith-Njigba | New Orleans Saints |
| 10 | Brian Thomas Jr. | Houston Texans |
| 11 | Ladd McConkey | Denver Broncos |
| 12 | Davante Adams | Philadelphia Eagles |
| 13 | Zay Flowers | Detroit Lions |
| 14 | Mike Evans | New York Jets |
| 15 | Garrett Wilson | Tampa Bay Buccaneers |
| 16 | Deebo Samuel | Las Vegas Raiders |
| 17 | Tyreek Hill | Buffalo Bills |
| 18 | George Pickens | Chicago Bears |
| 19 | Jameson Williams | Baltimore Ravens |
| 20 | Courtland Sutton | Los Angeles Chargers |
The players in this tier are all must-starts this week and will provide plenty of fantasy value throughout the season:
- Smith-Njigba had his second straight double-digit target, 100-yard game with Sam Darnold at quarterback. He has been the top target and jumps into the top ten of the wide receiver rankings for Week 3.
- Thomas Jr. has had two very disappointing performances, finishing outside of the top 40 in each. However, he has 19 targets in two games, but just five receptions. Trevor Lawrence and BTJ just can’t get on the same page. Better days are ahead for Thomas.
- Pickens got back on track, catching a touchdown to go with 68 receiving yards in Week 2. He gets a great matchup against the Bears, who just gave up over 50 points last week.
Tier 3: WR3s With Something to Prove
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 21 | A.J. Brown | Los Angeles Rams |
| 22 | Courtland Sutton | Los Angeles Chargers |
| 23 | Marvin Harrison Jr. | San Francisco 49ers |
| 24 | Tetairoa McMillan | Atlanta Falcons |
| 25 | DK Metcalf | New England Patriots |
| 26 | Emeka Egbuka | New York Jets |
| 27 | Calvin Ridley | Indianapolis Colts |
| 28 | Rome Odunze | Dallas Cowboys |
| 29 | Xavier Worthy* | New York Giants |
| 30 | Hollywood Brown | New York Giants |
This tier of players includes wide receivers who are all borderline WR starts this week, depending on the size of your league:
- A.J. Brown laid another dud. He had just 7.7 fantasy points in Week 2, so he now has less than ten total fantasy points through two games. However, he did have eight targets, which was an encouraging sign. Brown falls outside of the top 20 of the wide receiver rankings in Week 3, but for now, he should remain in your starting lineups.
- McMillan was the focal point of the Panthers passing offense once again, catching six passes for 100 yards. McMillan should continue to get a heavy target share in Week 3 and beyond.
- Worthy is questionable again this week with a shoulder injury. If he were to play, Hollywood Brown would drop out of fantasy lineups.
Tier 4: Potential Flex WRs
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 31 | Ricky Pearsall | Arizona Cardinals |
| 32 | DeVonta Smith | Los Angeles Rams |
| 33 | Jakobi Meyers | Washington Commanders |
| 34 | Tee Higgins | Minnesota Vikings |
| 35 | Keon Coleman | Miami Dolphins |
| 36 | Jerry Jeudy | Green Bay Packers |
| 37 | Josh Downs | Tennessee Titans |
| 38 | Michael Pittman Jr. | Tennessee Titans |
| 39 | Jauan Jennings | Arizona Cardinals |
| 40 | Keenan Allen | Denver Broncos |
These guys are FLEX options to fill out your starting lineup:
- After being the WR2 in Week 1, Coleman had a much quieter Week 2 game, catching all three of his targets for just 26 receiving yards. The Bills barely had to throw after being ahead early. Look for a bigger game for Coleman in Week 3.
