Week 1 of the NFL Season is completed. It is time to look ahead to Week 2. Here are the Week 2 wide receiver rankings for fantasy football. A note on injuries: Xavier Worthy is expected to be out, while Drake London is questionable with a shoulder injury.
Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings Week 2
Tier 1: Superstar WR1s
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 1 | CeeDee Lamb | New York Giants |
| 2 | Ja’Marr Chase | Jacksonville Jaguars |
| 3 | Justin Jefferson | Atlanta Falcons |
| 4 | Nico Collins | Tampa Bay Buccaneers |
| 5 | Drake London* | Minnesota Vikings |
| 6 | Puka Nacua | Tennessee Titans |
| 7 | Brian Thomas Jr. | Cincinnati Bengals |
| 8 | Malik Nabers | Dallas Cowboys |
| 9 | Amon-Ra St. Brown | Chicago Bears |
| 10 | Garrett Wilson | Buffalo Bills |
There was a mixed bag of results for the top tier of wide receivers in Week 1. Some are looking for a big bounce back, while others are looking to continue their success:
- Lamb finished with over 100 receiving yards, but had four big drops. He is the focal point of the offense and will continue to put up big numbers every week. He is the new overall WR1 in the wide receiver rankings.
- Chase had 4.6 fantasy points in Week 1. He only had one single-digit performance all of last season. Expect much better days for Chase starting this week against the Jaguars.
- Collins has a great matchup against the Buccaneers defense. I am not concerned after his bad game in Week 1.
- Wilson jumps into this tier as quarterback Justin Fields and the Jets offense were very good in Week 1, with Wilson as the focal point of the passing attack.

Tier 2: Proven Solid WR2s
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 11 | Ladd McConkey | Las Vegas Raiders |
| 12 | A.J. Brown | Kansas City Chiefs |
| 13 | Mike Evans | Houston Texans |
| 14 | Courtland Sutton | Indianapolis Colts |
| 15 | Marvin Harrison Jr. | Carolina Panthers |
| 16 | Tee Higgins | Jacksonville Jaguars |
| 17 | Davante Adams | Tennessee Titans |
| 18 | Zay Flowers | Cleveland Browns |
| 19 | Jaxon Smith-Njigba | Pittsburgh Steelers |
| 20 | DK Metcalf | Seattle Seahawks |
The players in this tier are all must-starts this week and will provide plenty of fantasy value throughout the season:
- Brown only had one catch for eight yards in the season opener. The Chiefs allowed four passing touchdowns in their opener. Expect Brown to get back on track.
- Flowers was the number one wide receiver in Week 1, scoring 28.1 fantasy points (PPR). Flowers is known for being an up-and-down player, with this being one of his better weeks.
- Quarterback Sam Darnold had 150 passing yards. 124 of them went to JSN. He had nine of the sixteen completions as well. Cooper Kupp was the only other wide receiver to have a target, and he only had three. JSN is Darnold’s go-to guy for the Seahawks.
Tier 3: WR3s With Something to Prove
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 21 | Calvin Ridley | Los Angeles Rams |
| 22 | Emeka Egbuka | Houston Texans |
| 23 | Deebo Samuel | Green Bay Packers |
| 24 | Ricky Pearsall | New Orleans Saints |
| 25 | Hollywood Brown | Philadelphia Eagles |
| 26 | Tyreek Hill | New England Patriots |
| 27 | DJ Moore | Detroit Lions |
| 28 | George Pickens | New York Giants |
| 29 | DeVonta Smith | Kansas City Chiefs |
| 30 | Jameson Williams | Chicago Bears |
This tier of players includes wide receivers who are all borderline WR starts this week, depending on the size of your league:
- Ridley had a tough matchup in Week 1, being guarded by Pat Surtain. He gets another tough matchup in Week 2, against a Rams defense that allowed zero touchdowns.
- Egbuka was amazing in his rookie debut, scoring two touchdowns, including the game-winner. He has a tough matchup against the Texans in Week 2, but it will be difficult to sit him.
- Brown gets a massive boost with both Rice and Worthy out for the next few weeks. He saw a whopping 16 targets and caught ten of them for 99 yards. Fire him as a WR3 this week.
- The entire Dolphins offense was dreadful. Hill had four catches for 40 yards. There is a good chance that Hill will be traded mid-season as the Dolphins might have to blow it up.
Tier 4: Potential Flex WRs
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 31 | Jerry Jeudy | Baltimore Ravens |
| 32 | Tetairoa McMillan | Arizona Cardinals |
| 33 | Terry McLaurin | Green Bay Packers |
| 34 | Travis Hunter | Cincinnati Bengals |
| 35 | Jakobi Meyers | Los Angeles Chargers |
| 36 | Keon Coleman | New York Jets |
| 37 | Michael Pittman Jr. | Denver Broncos |
| 38 | Josh Downs | Denver Broncos |
| 39 | Jayden Reed | Washington Commanders |
| 40 | Quentin Johnston | Las Vegas Raiders |
These guys are FLEX options to fill out your starting lineup:
- McMillan had a decent rookie debut, catching five of nine targets for 68 yards.
- McLaurin took a back seat to Samuel, finishing with just two catches for 27 yards. This was expected with him not playing most of training camp. It will take a few weeks for McLaurin to get back on track.
- Coleman had a career-high 25.2 fantasy points in the Bills come-from-behind victory on Sunday Night Football. Almost all of his targets were in the 4th quarter when the Bills were in comeback mode. Don’t think this is sustainable, making Coleman a boom or bust FLEX play.
- Johnston caught five of seven targets for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Is he back? The Chargers offense looked completely different, being pass-first. Johnston’s stock is on the rise entering Week 2.
