NFL Draft Wide Receiver Prospects Who Played Their Way Into Becoming Standouts At The 2025 NFL Combine In Indianapolis.

Chimere Dike, Florida

Dike still remains a somewhat deep sleeper prospect despite playing well for an SEC school and putting out phenomenal tape. There’s a good chance, however, that those talks change in a big way following his combine performance. He surprised many people with a wildly fast 4.34-second 40-yard dash time that placed second among WRs. His 38.5” vertical jump and 10’08” broad jump both graded out as elite, and he finished the day with a 9.80 Relative Athletic Score, ranking him 70th out of 3408 WRs since 1987.

Potential Team Fit: Pittsburgh Steelers

Matthew Golden, Texas

Golden’s group-leading 4.29-second 40-yard dash stole the show in the first section of testing. His display of explosiveness had his name all over social media and instantly shot him up among the biggest wide receiver combine standouts. His fantastic finish to the 2024 season for the Longhorns put him in first-round discussion, and his combine showing only solidified that. With little left for him to prove, the chances of him hearing his name within the first 32 picks continue to climb.

Potential Team Fit: Baltimore Ravens

Luther Burden III, Missouri

Burden III was almost flawless in his combine performance, starting with his impressive 4.42-second 40-yard dash. 2024 was a major step back for him statistically, but he’ll be headed to the draft on a high note. His showcase of speed was great for rounding out his profile, and he really shined in the drills. Multiple social media analysts recorded him having zero drops throughout the entire practice session, and his gauntlet run was a thing of beauty.

Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas

As far as testing goes, it’s hard to find a receiver who was better overall than TeSlaa. He finished his day with a 9.96 RAS, which is good for 16th among WRs since 1987. A 4.44-second 40-yard dash and 1.55-second 10-yard split at 6’3” and 214 pounds definitely raised some eyebrows to go along with his elite hands. He just barely missed hitting 23 mph on his run and was a smooth operator in the drills. His testing included a 39.5” vertical jump and 10’9” broad jump, both grading out as elite and among the best marks of the group.

Potential Team Fit: Las Vegas Raiders

Dont’e Thornton, Tennessee

There are not many wideouts with a 6’4” 205 205-pound frame running a 4.3 flat 40-yard dash, but Thornton showed he’s one of the few. The Volunteers’ deep threat, despite a below-average 33” vertical jump, shot up to a 9.80 RAS with his elite speed. He wasn’t particularly special during the drills, but his hands were consistent and didn’t make any bad mistakes. His combination of speed and natural leverage popped throughout the event, making him one of the top wide receiver combine standouts.
