The Cincinnati Bengals finally had some luck defeating the Dallas Cowboys 27-20 on MNF. It was the Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase show once again for the orange and black with an assist from the much-maligned defense to snap a three-game losing streak. Burrow had another masterful performance going 33/44 for 369 yards and three touchdowns for a passer rating of 112.8. Chase was even better and had 177 receiving yards with two touchdowns including the game-winner to put it away with 1:01 left in regulation. The Bengals All-Pro wideout keeps getting better even in year four and has the Triple Crown firmly in his sights.
Ja’Marr Chase’s Quest for the Triple Crown Continues
Joe X Ja’Marr
The best buds and former college teammates are doing things in the NFL that will be in the history books when it’s all said and done. They are a great example of what hard work and success look like at the next level and showing no signs of slowing down.

This connection is the heartbeat of the squad even when the season hasn’t gone as planned. They also push others around them to continually be at their best which is an important lesson for younger players. With four games left, Burrow and Chase still have records they’d like to set.
Triple Threat
The Triple Crown for a wide receiver is the elusive holy grail of statistics and one that Chase has had his eyes on for many weeks. He’s in a good place after last night and is looking for even more to close out 2024.

Burrow is also on a heater and playing the best football of his five-year NFL career. In fact, in each of the last five games, he has completed 25+ passes, thrown for 250+ passing yards, thrown 3+ touchdown passes, and had no more than one interception. No other quarterback has done this in NFL history in more than three straight games which is a testament to how good Burrow has been this season.
Imagine the Possibilities
Cincinnati’s front office had the opportunity to sign Chase this offseason but passed and now it will cost even more to keep the best wide receiver in the league in stripes. Burrow doesn’t want to imagine a world where he’s not throwing to number one weekly. He spoke about this after the game when he noted, “I don’t want to have that. We feed off each other. We make each other better. We are both really smart players. It is tough to take that away when you have a really smart receiver that you can move around and do a lot of things with. Hopefully, we can play together as long as we are in this league together.”
The business of the NFL is tough, it’s even tougher when you operate the way the Brown and Blackburn family does. They have to adapt the way players are paid by getting out of their comfort zone. Burrow and Chase have given this franchise so much. It’s time they returned the favor so everyone can stop imagining a Lombardi Trophy and finally hoist one for the city and its fans.
