Last Word On Steelers Podcast Episode 9: Draft Reactions

In episode eight of the Last Word on Steelers Podcast we analyze the Steelers eight draft picks in the 2017 NFL draft. We discuss the how we felt the draft went and where the newest Steelers fit on the roster. After the draft, we also examine a few of the undrafted free agents the Steelers could sign and discuss their chances of making the team. The Steelers stuck to a tried and true draft strategy that they seem to implement just about every year. They stayed in the draft position they earned in the past season and showed a bias towards players that they meant with either in Pittsburgh during a visit, at the prospect’s pro days, or had in-depth interaction with at the NFL combine.  The eight players the Steelers drafted were outside linebacker T.J. Watt at 30, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster at pick 62, cornerback Cameron Sutton with the 94th pick, Running back James Conner at pick 105, quarterback Joshua Dobbs at pick 135, cornerback Brian Allen with pick 173, long snapper Colin Holba at pick 213, and outside linebacker Keion Adams with their final pick at number 248.  Check out www.lastwordonsports.com for exclusive content.
