Raiders vs Broncos Prediction

Score Prediction: Broncos 20, Raiders 13

This game is projected to be a defensive battle with the total being set at 36. Every possession will matter in this one. The Broncos  are coming off of two road wins against likely playoff teams in the Buccaneers and the Jets. Meanwhile, the Raiders are facing some distractions. Superstar wide receiver Davante Adams has requested a trade out of Las Vegas. Adams is expected to be out against Denver with a hamstring injury. The Broncos defense has looked elite in the past two weeks, holding the Buccaneers to 7 points and the Jets to 9.

Broncos -3 (-110)

The Broncos have looked like a different team in these last two weeks. After starting 0-2, they dismantled the Buccaneers 26-7, and won a slugfest against the Jets 10-9. Meanwhile, the Raiders have had a very up and down two weeks. In week 3, they were blown out by the Panthers at home. They then followed that up with a 20-16 win against the Browns. Now, Quarterback Gardner Minshew will have one of the best defenses in the league without his top receiver in Davante Adams. On the other side of the ball, Broncos rookie Quarterback Bo Nix has also face a challenge against the Raiders defense. However, this unit has proven to be exploitable, shown by Andy Dalton and the Panthers. Nix should be able to muster enough scoring drives together to outlast Minshew and the Raiders offense. Look for Denver’s defense to create a couple turnovers and give Nix and the offense a short field.

Under 36 (-110)

This game is setup to be a slugfest. Two below average offenses against two above average defenses. Even if these offenses can sustain drives and move the ball, look for both defenses to force field goals in the red zone. Denver completely shut down two good offenses in the Bucs and Jets. Vegas is unlikely to move the ball effectively on this unit. The Broncos offense should see a bit more success, but this is still a unit that has struggled mightily to score in 3 of their 4 games. On the flip side, the Raiders defense has held their opponents to 23 points or less in 3 of their 4 games, and the team that scored 23 was the Baltimore Ravens. Denver’s offense does not come close to being as effective as Baltimore’s is. This will be a defensive slugfest with lots of punts, field goals, and a couple of turnovers.

Raiders vs Broncos Prop Bet With Caesars

Gardner Minshew Under 31.5 Longest Passing Completion (-123)

Denver’s defense has faced arguably two top ten quarterbacks in the last two weeks. The longest completion they gave up in either of those games was a 25 yard pass against Aaron Rodgers. Now, throw in the fact that the Minshew is without Davante Adams, and we have a line that holds great value. Tight End Brock Bowers has the highest receiving yards line for any Raiders player at 45.5. This shows that the books don’t expect many passing yards in this one, let alone a passing play for 32 yards or more. Minshew also has a passing yards line of 190.5, with juice on the under, once again showing the books expect a low scoring, defensive game. It’s really hard to envision Minshew hitting a big play in this matchup, especially without Adams.
