Falcons vs Eagles Predictions With BetMGM Promo Code LWOS

The Falcons vs Eagles matchup has an interesting wrinkle without A.J. Brown. But will it be Jalen Hurts find a way without his top target?
Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts

The Atlanta Falcons (0-1) seek an upset against the Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) in their Monday Night Football matchup at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In their opener, Jalen Hurts was able to get things going offensively against the Packers. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins didn’t ease calls for Michael Penix Jr. to start. Unless the visitors get started on the right foot early, this could be a game that gets ugly quickly.

Falcons vs Eagles Prediction

Score Prediction: Eagles 35, Falcons 17

Philadelphia limited a Jordan Love offense for large parts of the game against the Green Bay Packers. Furthermore, they gained 410 total yards on what many thought would be an improved NFC defense. Saquon Barkley deservingly received a lot of the highlights. But Hurts found DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown plenty, as they were both targeted eight and 10 times, respectively, in their matchup. This is still a top offensive line in the NFL, and their ability to hurt opposing teams on the ground or through the air will ultimately prove to be too much against Atlanta. It’s worth noting that Brown is out for today’s game. But this leaves room for Dallas Goedert to see an increased role, worst case, as a check-down security blanket.

Conversely, the Falcons managed to only score 10 points on Pittsburgh without being able to grab a single point in the second half. They allowed 137 yards on the ground, and that is something that Philadelphia will look to take advantage of tonight. Worth noting: Bijan Robinson had the role many were hoping for when he first came into the league. But his 18 carries and 111 total yards were not enough to keep it close against a limited Pittsburgh offense.

Eagles Moneyline (-250)

It has been an odd Week 2 in the NFL. However, that ends tonight. Philadelphia would need to implode, and Cousins would need to show multiple stages of improvement with this offense from last week for Atlanta to steal one on the road. Not saying it isn’t possible, but these are two teams at different stages. Philly is pushing for a potential playoff run; the road team would see getting to .500 on the year as a victory.

Over 45.5 (-110)

The only case for the under is if this Kellen Moore-led unit goes more conservative into the second half with a large lead. Nick Sirianni isn’t one to do that until there are literal seconds left on the clock. While the bigger concern is Atlanta chipping in enough points for the over to hit, they may only need to get to double digits, and garbage time points count just as much as any other type of scoring.

Eagles -5.5 (-110)

Barring any further injury setbacks, this one shouldn’t be particularly close. Even without their number one WR target, Moore will look to stretch the field vertically and run it in near the endzone or in short-yardage situations. The defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio, will limit what the other side is doing. It also shouldn’t come as a surprise if multiple turnovers give Philly points, or at least excellent field position.

Falcons vs Eagles Prop Bets with BetMGM

Dallas Goedert Over 50 Receiving Yards (+100)

As mentioned, Brown will be out for this contest. This will not open up opportunities for others but bodes well for the tight end. Even with the full cast, Goedert saw five targets and had 34 receiving yards. Expect both numbers to go up and for this prop to comfortably hit.

Jalen Hurts Over 50 Rushing Yards (+180)

The offensive line is still good, but can be a work in progress at times. Expect Atlanta’s pass rushers to get through a couple of times. However, with Smith and Barkley grabbing a lot of the attention, Hurts will have lanes open up. He officially had 13 carries for 33 yards against Green Bay, hard to see him not gaining the extra 17 tonight.
