Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa 2022 NFL Draft Profile

Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa was a five-year player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Tagovailoa-Amosa appeared in games in most of his years, with just one cut short by injury. He used this extra year to play as a graduate student for the Irish. In his last three seasons, Tagovailoa-Amosa showed durability, playing in 31 games. Bottom Line for Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa

Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa will likely go deep into the third day of the 2022 NFL Draft. There is also a chance he will go undrafted. The game intelligence and locker room presence are high on Tagovailoa-Amosa, but it is possible that is not enough to get drafted. Tagovailoa-Amosa was a great presence at Notre Dame on and off the field, but leadership and intelligence did not translate to statistics. Although, he did turn some heads at the NFL combine by posting a 4.81 40-yard dash time, showing off his straight-line speed.

In Tagovailoa-Amosa’s five years, he managed just 5.5 sacks for his collegiate career. He was also not a stalwart against the rush either. Tagovailoa-Amosa had 81 tackles in 39 college games. Tagovailoa-Amosa’s size is some concern as well. He is likely too small to be a defensive tackle in the NFL. Unfortunately, he has not shown enough strength to be a true edge rusher either. It’s possible that some teams will take a late-round flyer on Tagovailoa-Amosa for special teams and an experimental hybrid linebacker.
