Offensive tackle Terron Armstead signed a new contract with the Miami Dolphins. Armstead spent the first nine seasons with the New Orleans Saints.

Terron Armstead, Miami Dolphins, Agree to Contract
Armstead spent most of the 2021 season injured. He only played eight games of a 17-game season. Both an elbow and knee injury limited Armstead’s playing time last season. When healthy, Armstead played well. He was a big contributor in key victories over the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Jets. The Saints averaged 24 fewer rushing yards and six less points per game without Armstead. However, due to the severity of his injury, Armstead had to have knee surgery in January.
Armstead has only played for the Saints for his NFL career. Unfortunately, over the course of his nine seasons with the Saints, he has been plagued with injuries, having to have multiple surgeries. The most games Armstead has ever played in one season is 15 during the 2019 season. He did have two seasons with 14 games played and one season with 13 games played. All other seasons, Armstead played in only 10 games or less.
Ranked as one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL, Armstead was a Pro-Bowler from 2018-2020. He recorded the fastest 40-yard dash for any offensive lineman at the NFL Combine in 2013, with a time of 4.71 seconds. Armstead has had many achievements throughout his NFL career. Prior to the 2021 season, he was ranked in NFL Network‘s Top 100 Players, ranked 79th. In 2018, he was First Team All-Conference by Pro Football Writers and First Team by The Sporting News. Additionally, he was voted Second Team by the Associated Press and Pro Football Focus.
Terron Armstead played college football at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, where he was selected First Team All-SWAC three times. He was also a member of the Arkansas-Pine Bluff track and field team, where he was named the News-Democrat Track and Field Athlete of the Year, winning the state shot put title.
