There were some crazy results last week, including the Dallas Cowboys getting absolutely boat raced at home by the Denver Broncos and the Buffalo Bills somehow putting up only six points in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. This week the Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants, and Houston Texans are all on a bye. Unfortunately, that means two teams it is usually smart to pick against, the Jets and Texans, are off this week. But there are teams it makes sense to go with this week to try to stay alive in a survivor pool. Here are some NFL Week 10 survivor league picks.
Top Picks for NFL Week 10 Survivor League
Dallas Cowboys Versus Atlanta Falcons
True, the Cowboys are coming off of an inexplicable loss at home while the Atlanta Falcons are coming off a close win over the New Orleans Saints. But the Cowboys are the better team, and the Falcons have been inconsistent this season.
In addition, the Falcons will be missing talented receiver Calvin Ridley and their defense will not be able to put together enough stops to keep Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, Ezekiel Elliot, and company from putting up enough points for a win. The Cowboys run defense was horrible against Denver, but the Falcons offense is ranked 29th in rushing in the league this year (80.4 yards per game) so that should not be a problem this week.
Dan Quinn, who is now the Cowboys defensive coordinator, should get a win over his former team.
Arizona Cardinals Versus Carolina Panthers
Kyler Murray will most likely be back under center for the Arizona Cardinals, but even if he isn’t, the Cardinals are the better team and Colt McCoy played well in place of Murray last week. Plus, after winning their first three games of the season, the Carolina Panthers have gone 1-5 in their last six games with their lone win coming over the Atlanta Falcons. Matt Rhule’s squad is a hot mess right now.
The main issue for the Panthers is their offense will not be able to keep up with the Cardinals, regardless of who is under center for Arizona. Arizona’s defense is allowing only 17.2 points per game (third in the league), and Sam Darnold, who has been struggling of late, was put on injured reserved. The Panthers offense will most likely be in for a very long day. And there is a good chance stud wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is also back in action for Arizona this week. Both Hopkins and Murray were sidelined in Week 9 but the Cardinals still managed to easily defeat the San Francisco 49ers 31-17.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Football Team
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off of a loss, but they are 6-2 while the Washington Football Team is 2-6 and have lost four straight games. This is a rematch of an NFC Wild Card playoff game last season in which the Bucs won what was a close contest. Both teams are coming off a bye and Tom Brady is usually pretty good after he has had a week off to prepare.
Coming into the season many people were high on the Football Team mainly due to their defense. But Washington’s defense has been a huge disappointment. They simply will not be able to stop Brady and all of the weapons on the Bucs offense, especially since Washington’s pass defense is last in the league.
If the Cardinals, Cowboys, and Buccaneers are no longer available to take in survivor, going with the Indianapolis Colts (at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars), Tennessee Titans (at home versus the Saints), or Bills (at the Jets) are viable options this week.
