NFL veteran linebacker K.J. Wright signed a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. Wright spent the first ten seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks

K.J. Wright, Las Vegas Raiders, Agree to Contract
Wright had one of his best seasons of his career in 2020. the long time Seahawk recorded 86 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, one interception and had another ten pass deflections. He also recorded two sacks and had one forced fumble. In 2019, Wright had another great season. He recorded 132 total tackles and five tackles for loss. He also grabbed a career-high three interceptions and had another 11 pass deflections. The only pro bowl Wright made was in 2016. He had 126 total tackles and 12 tackles for loss. Wright had a career-high four sacks and a career-high eight quarterback hits.
Wright was a part of the Legion of Boom defense back in the early 2010s. He started next Bobby Wagner and Malcolm Smith in 2013 when the Seahawks won the Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos. During that season, he recorded 80 total tackles in just 13 games played. He also had four pass deflections and a sack and a half. During that season, the defense was ranked as one of the best in the modern era. Wright was also drafted in the same draft as all-pro cornerback Richard Sherman.
In Wright’s ten seasons with the team, he has 941 total tackles, 66 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks and 27 quarterback hits. He has intercepted six passes in his career and another 54 pass deflections. He has also forced 11 fumbles as well. The Seahawks selected Wright in the 4th round of the 2011 NFL draft. Wright went to Mississippi State university for four years. In his career at Mississippi State, he recorded 258 total tackles and 22.5 tackles for loss. He had eight sacks but was a little better as a coverage guy. He had 14 career pass deflections including nine of them during his senior season.
