NFL linebacker Kyle Van Noy signed a new contract with the New England Patriots. Terms of the deal are not yet available to the public. Van Noy spent the 2020 season with the Miami Dolphins.

Kyle Van Noy, New England Patriots, Agree to Contract
Van Noy signed a four-year, $51 million contract with the Dolphins on March 21st, which included $30 million of it guaranteed. During the 2020-21 season, Van Noy completed two fumble recoveries for 28 yards, 46 solo, and 23 assisted tackles with 10 Quarterback hits. Van Noy was placed on the COVID 19 reserve list on November 12th but was activated off the list on the 14th. Due to his play during week 13, Van Noy was awarded AFC Defensive player of the week. The Dolphins did not make the playoffs. The Dolphins released Van Noy on March 2nd, 2021.
The Detroit Lions traded Van Noy and a 2017 7th round pick to the New England Patriots on October 25, 2016, for a 2017 6th round pick. During the 2019-2020 season, Van Noy completed three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries for 22 yards, 41 solo, and 15 assisted tackles with 15 Quarterback hits. Due to his play during week four, Van Noy received Defensive player of the week honors. In the playoffs, Van Noy completed one forced fumble, four solo tackles, and one assisted tackle with one Quarterback hit. In the AFC Wild Card playoffs, the Patriots lost to the Tennessee Titans 20-13.
During the 2018-19 season, Van Noy completed one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries for 46 yards, and one touchdown. Also, Van Noy completed 55 solo and 37 assisted tackles with 10 Quarterback hits. In the playoffs, Van Noy completed one forced fumble, 16 solo, and two assisted tackles with four Quarterback hits. The Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53.
The Patriots signed Van Noy to a two-year, $11.75 contract on September 8th, 2017. Van Noy suffered a calf injury but was reactivated after missing three games. The Patriots would end up losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 41-33 in Super Bowl 52.
