Early 2027 NFL Draft Quintrevion Wisner Scouting Report
Measurables:
Height- 6’0″
Weight- 201 lbs
Background:
Wisner attended DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, where he was a three-star recruit and helped DeSoto High School win the State Championship in his senior season. He committed to Texas and appeared in all 14 games during his freshman season as a big contributor on special teams for the Longhorns. During the 2024 season, Wisner became the team’s primary ball carrier and played in 15 games with 12 starts during the season.
Wisner led the team in rushing attempts and rushing yards while finishing second in rushing touchdowns. He won SEC offensive player of the week after a career-high 186 rushing yards performance against rival Texas A&M. Wisner played a big role in helping Texas to a 13-3 overall record, a Peach Bowl victory, and a College Football Playoff semifinal appearance. He earned All-SEC Third Team honors. During the 2025 season, Wisner played in nine games and finished the season as the team leader in rushing yards and second in rushing touchdowns. Wisner entered the transfer portal during the offseason and will play the 2026 season at Florida State.
Strengths:
Wisner is a well-rounded running back. He is a smart player with a good football IQ and amazing patience and vision as a runner. Wisner does a great job allowing blocks to develop and he does a good job of identifying cutback lanes. He also has solid elusiveness as a runner, and he is able to make defenders miss in open space. Wisner also had good ball security in 2025 with just one fumble during the season.
In the passing game, Wisner has had good production in both 2024 and 2025. He recorded 44 receptions and 311 receiving yards in 2024 and recorded 22 receptions and 146 receiving yards in nine games during the 2025 season. Wisner also gives great effort in pass protection. He had overall tremendous production during the 2024 season, with over 1,000 rushing yards and 1,375 yards from scrimmage. He was a very strong special teams contributor during the 2023 season.
Weaknesses:
Wisner is an undersized running back at 201 pounds, and while he gives great effort as a blocker, he lacks ideal play strength in pass protection. He doesn’t always run with enough physicality and has decent but not great contact balance. Wisner also doesn’t have elite straight-line speed, and he had a limited number of big runs during the 2025 season, recording zero runs of 20-plus yards throughout the entire season. While Wisner has good production in the passing game, he still needs to develop more as a route runner and improve his downfield pass-catching ability.
Quintrevion Wisner Scouting Report Overview:
Wisner is a well-rounded running back who has great patience, vision, and anticipation as a runner. He also gives good effort in pass protection and has had multiple seasons of good production in the passing game. However, he is a slightly undersized running back, and he will need to improve his play strength. Wisner also needs to show he has solid big-play ability during the 2026 season. Wisner is currently a Day 3 running back prospect, but he has great vision as a runner, and if he can improve his play strength and record more breakaway runs during the 2026 season, Wisner has the talent to become a solid running back in the NFL.
