2026 NFL Draft: Isaiah World Scouting Report

When Nevada’s Isaiah World entered the transfer portal to play for the Oregon Ducks his senior year, he suddenly shot to prominence as the 247Sports number one-ranked transfer. Praising World’s rapid development along with his size and strength, Oregon coach Dan Lanning described World as “a former basketball player who has grown into a football player.”

World’s transfer was fueled by an impressive 82.3 PFF.com pass blocking grade and his versatility in switching from right tackle to starting left tackle without missing a beat. Progressing from redshirted freshman to a two-time All-Mountain West Honorable Mention, World allowed only one sack and two quarterback hits in his final year at Nevada. Impressed by his steady development, the Eugene coaching staff became convinced he could replace draft-bound Josh Conerly, Jr.

Discussing World’s transfer, Oregon’s Director of Recruiting Cooper Petagna stated, “He was the one guy at the end of the day where it was like ‘If we’re going to bet on a guy, we’re going to bet on a guy with that type of size, athleticism and experience.”

By all reports, World made a smooth transition, with coaches praising his work ethic and attitude. He finished the season with an overall 67.9 PFF grade, allowing only 11 total quarterback pressures, one quarterback hit, six penalties, and one sack in 741 offensive snaps.

His best performance came in the postseason amid a losing effort to Indiana. Despite suffering a lower-body injury in the Peach Bowl, World did an admirable job anchoring the offensive line against the Hoosiers. Unfortunately, the injury caused World to pull out of the Senior Bowl the following week.

Strengths:

  • Massive 6’8” frame
  • Nimble footwork
  • Positional versatility
  • Explosive first step
  • Strong pass protection abilities, particularly when working from the right side
  • Powerful hands described as “jarring” by Bleacher Report
  • Ability to mirror speed rushers
  • Continues to show improvement in pass protection

Weaknesses:

  • Hand placement and usage can be inconsistent
  • Draws too many penalties
  • Can be beaten by superior technique and athleticism
  • His technique is lacking in run blocking
  • Lack of elite speed and quick responsiveness
  • Lacks bend-ability

Best Fits: Cincinnati Bengals

Final Thoughts:

NFLdraftbuzz.com ranked World as the sixth-best interior offensive lineman after Spencer Fano,  Caleb Lomu,  and Kaydn Proctor. He lacks technique in certain areas and will need to address those aspects of his game. However, World is a strong prospect for teams with pass-first offenses. His basketball background provides a nimbleness that’s unusual for a player his size. Furthermore, he demonstrates a continued ability to evolve and improve his technique. Playing against the nation’s number one team in the postseason, he stepped up with his best performance to date.
