#3 – San Francisco 49ers

Injuries were an issue all season for the San Francisco 49ers on both sides of the ball. Brock Purdy returned and, over the last few games, truly found his groove. The problem, though, is that the 49ers scored just three points in Week 18 in what could have been a division-clinching game.
Christian McCaffrey struggled at times on the ground, but it’s also difficult to ignore what he did as a receiver. He finished with 1,202 rushing yards, 924 receiving yards, and 17 combined touchdowns. If it weren’t for some NFC West peers, we likely would be talking more about McCaffrey in the lens of Offensive Player of the Year.
Not only is Purdy healthy, but the same can be said for George Kittle and Ricky Pearsall. Traveling to Philadelphia to face the Eagles to begin the playoffs also isn’t an ideal matchup.
