After firing GM Chris Grier, the expectation is that the Miami Dolphins will soon fire-sale plenty of talent. It’s safe to assume that they could trade at least two or three players this year before the trade deadline. Jaelan Phillips is no superstar, but he has been a name brought up linked to the Dallas Cowboys. The former first-round pick would immediately bring some type of life to the edge rushing unit, which is a side that the Cowboys have been struggling on.
While Phillips is an impending free agent next offseason, this would give Dallas a major consideration to re-sign him, depending on how his production is. The top pass-rushers for the Cowboys unit lean on rookie Donovan Ezeiruaku, Dante Fowler and James Houston, while free agent signee Jack Sanborn and Damone Clark have been struggling to make any impact.
