With the tenth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Chicago Bears fans are torn. There are so many talented prospects available and with a bunch of holes that need to be addressed, Ryan Poles has a huge decision to make. As much as the team would love to draft another offensive weapon or a defensive stud, the reality is the Bears can’t have their franchise quarterback sacked 68 times again next season. With that, Pro Football Focus (PFF) believes LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell could be Caleb Williams’ newest bodyguard.

Why PFF Views Will Campbell as the Best Fit
PFF analysts have made a strong case for the Bears selecting Will Campbell in the first round:
“Take the best offensive lineman. And you know, who knows if maybe Kelvin Banks is a better pure tackle. But I kind of like this train of thought that Will Campbell may be just the best offensive lineman, regardless of where you put him. And if this guy between them, I would move to the interior, it’s Will Campbell…I know it’s the pick that everyone’s mocking right now, but you got to be able to block people, right? And you need interior protection for Caleb Williams.”
This situation isn’t new for Chicago. Every year, when an obvious pick starts gaining traction, Bears fans begin debating other options. Of course, there’s still free agency to address these issues, but regardless, drafting Campbell shouldn’t be overlooked.
Adding Spice to the Bears Drafting Will Campbell
At 6’6″ and 323 pounds, Will Campbell has the mold of a future All-Pro offensive lineman. He was a three-year starter and two-time team captain at LSU and was the first offensive lineman in school history to be awarded the team’s top playmaker which is remarkable. With all the accolades and experience, the fact that he’s only 21 is mind-blowing. His combination of power in the run game, footwork in pass protection, and technical consistency make him a standout prospect.
The only drawback for Campbell is his shorter arms, which has led some analysts to project him as a guard at the NFL level. Regardless, the Bears need more help in the interior than at tackle, so drafting Campbell won’t be an issue.
If the Bears draft Campbell, he’ll likely slot in as the team’s left guard. Ideally, the Bears address the center and right guard position in free agency. Center, because there isn’t premium talent in the draft, and right guard because of the possibility of signing a player like Trey Smith or Mekhi Becton.

Last Word on Will Campbell
At the end of the day, rebuilding the offensive line should be a top priority for the Bears. Last season, it was the team’s Achilles heel, and if they have any hopes of competing for a Super Bowl, they need to protect Caleb Williams. Campbell brings a level of toughness and physicality that this offensive line desperately needs, making him a compelling option with the 10th overall pick.
