The Alvin Kamara trade rumors have been swirling all offseason, and won’t stop any time soon. With the regular season less than a week away, New Orleans still has time to move their star running back and embrace a proper rebuild after treading water for four straight years after Drew Brees retired. Up until this point, all Kamara rumors were just rumors, but the latest piece of news from across the league suggests a trade could be imminent.
While casually searching for homes, X user Blake Prest noticed that Alvin Kamara’s house was listed for sale. This was soon confirmed by various New Orleans media outlets, which shows that an Alvin Kamara trade could happen any day now. Perhaps Kamara plans to leave New Orleans after the 2024 season, much like how Tom Brady listed his house for sale back in 2019, but if a trade happens this year, the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers feel like the most likely destinations.
For what it’s worth, Alvin Kamara just listed his house for sale. #saints

Saints Alvin Kamara Lists House For Sale, Could Cowboys, Chargers Trade Happen?
The Dallas Cowboys need a running back in the worst way. While the team locked up superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to a massive contract, they have yet to secure the future of quarterback Dak Prescott and edge defender Micah Parsons. This could be the last season all three players suit up for America’s Team, so Jerry Jones and company should be doing all they can to hoist the Lombardi in 2024. Alvin Kamara might not be the player he once was, but a trade would dramatically upgrade this backfield.
Right now, journeyman Rico Dowdle is battling two well past their prime players Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook for the starting running back job. Running back isn’t one of the more important positions in today’s pass-happy NFL, but you need to do better than this. Alvin Kamara would not only help between the tackles, but a trade would also improve the passing game. While Lamb will lead the team in targets, Kamara could carve out a role as the second or third option in the passing attack.
Old-School Harbaugh
Jim Harbaugh is an old-school coach who believes in the power of the run game. Unfortunately, his running backs aren’t anything to write home about. Gus Edwards is an unremarkable journeyman and J.K. Dobbins is coming off a serious Achilles injury, which historically spells the end for running backs. While the offensive line should be one of the league’s better units, this team should trade for Alvin Kamara to have someone capable of taking advantage of these rushing lanes.
Nobody thinks that the present-day version of Kamara is the same unstoppable force that averaged over six yards per carry as a rookie and went to five straight Pro Bowls from 2017 to 2021. However, he can still make plays as both a runner and a receiver and could be a vital part of the passing attack. With no proven receivers on the roster, Los Angeles could trade for Kamara and use him as a pseudo-receiver whenever possible.
