Part of the lovely thing about dynasty fantasy football is finding offseason values. It’s very much a “what have you done for me lately” type valuation, and dynasty gamers overlook productive players who have dealt with injury or just had an off year. With that in mind, here are the top five values in dynasty fantasy football across the AFC right now.
Top Five AFC Values Dynasty Fantasy Football
Mark Andrews – TE Baltimore Ravens
How quickly dynasty managers forget about Andrews dominance in the AFC and in the fantasy football sphere. Andrews hasn’t finished outside the top five tight ends in points per game since 2019 (where he was the TE6). The Ravens haven’t added a pass catcher of note outside of Zay Flowers in last year’s draft, and he’s still the number one or two option in the offense. He’s only 28 years old, and has at least three to four years of dominance left in the tank. On KeepTradeCut right now you can move LaPorta or McBride and get a 2025 first on top, which is a smash accept on the Andrews side all day. Elite point scorer with the legs to last, he’s undervalued right now.
George Pickens – WR Pittsburgh Steelers
Let’s play a quick game. Who’s older, George Pickens or Tank Dell? Pickens or Zay Flowers? Pickens or Olave? Or even new rookies Xavier Legette and Ricky Pearsall or Pickens? He’s the youngest of that group, has the production to provide a fun WR2/3 at worst, and is valued under each of them by quite a bit. The year three breakout is a point of contention in dynasty circles, but if we’re looking for a breakout we want to see a couple things ahead of time.
Firstly, we want to see the player has succeeded on the field either by YPRR or year long finish. Pickens has almost 2,000 yards in his first two seasons despite playing with Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph. Second, we want to see a change in the situation. Either the quarterback gets better, or a target hog leaves the offense (like when Amari Cooper left Dallas and Ceedee Lamb went to the absolute moon). Check and check. Lastly, we want to see an offensive coordinator that can utilize their skillset effectively.
This is the shakiest of the three, but with Arthur Smith as an OC we’ve seen receivers dominate on efficiency in play action. What do Russell Wilson, Justin Fields and George Pickens do the best? Deep, arcing rocket balls down the field. Worst case scenario he holds his value into next offseason. Best case scenario he launches into top 18 consideration and is going outside the top 24 right now.
Will Levis – QB Tennessee Titans
Alright, time to roll the dice. If Levis takes the step forward that fantasy gamers are hoping for, he’s one of the best values in the AFC dynasty rankings right now. He’s already shown the ability to move the offense and keep them on schedule, and his fearless play style is a gold mine for fantasy points. At low end QB2 prices, managers should all be in. This film breakdown highlights his highs, or the one below was one of his finest drives of the season.
Marquise Brown – WR Kansas City Chiefs
Is Rashee Rice playing every game this year? Is Xavier Worthy going to be a focal point of the offense? Brown has the ability to explode and win people weeks, is only 27, and gets to play with the best quarterback in the league in 2024. It’s worth noting his contract is likely a one year rental, but after a couple spike weeks early in the season he’ll dominate his WR47 price right now. For a mid second round pick managers can go grab Hollywood, and it’s a bet worth taking.
Josh Palmer – WR Los Angeles Chargers
Time to get really gross. Palmer is going outside the top 60 receivers right now but has been a WR4 in PPG the last two seasons. Now Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are gone, so he might never be a top 24 receiver but he can be a desperation flex play with bye weeks and injuries mounting. Again, this is in no way a league winning move, but more of a week winning move to keep your teams afloat. For 2024 contending teams, he’s a nice bench stash at a third round rookie pick price tag. Any pass catcher tied to Justin Herbert with this price tag is a target.
