Most Fun Prospect-Team Pairings in the 2024 NFL Draft

In a class with loads of fun players, here are the most fun prospect team pairings heading into the 2024 NFL Draft.
Most Fun Prospects

Some players just scream like they would go together like a hand in a glove. Last year the romanticized version of Mingo seemed like a perfect Carolina Panther. Who are some of the most fun prospect-team pairings in the 2024 NFL Draft?

Most Fun Prospect-Team Pairings in the 2024 NFL Draft

Jermaine Burton, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

Tell me if you’ve heard this one before. A talented wide receiver falls in the draft due to attitude concerns but holds it together in Pittsburgh aside from a few minor outbursts. Burton is a freakazoid who likely suffered from Milroe’s inability to push the ball down the field. He might be a bit of a headcase, but watching him and Pickens fight for the ball or just actually fight would require popcorn.

Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

The Harbaugh ties to Michigan may be overblown. But Harbaugh loves him some Blake Corum and ran him almost 700 times in the past four years. Gus Edwards is their only running back under contract right now, and the team needs a reliable steady back to tote the rock. Corum, you ARE a Los Angeles Charger.

Jackson Powers-Johnson, OL, Baltimore Ravens

Steelers fans would scream, but there’s a world where teams pass on JPJ due to positional value. He falls, and falls, and falls, until eventually the Ravens scoop up the best player on the board regardless of contract values. It’s a familiar trope, and the Ravens would fill a significant need at the same time. Win win for everyone except the rest of the AFC North. He might not be fun for the average fan, but Powers-Johnson is one of the most fun offensive line prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Braden Fiske, IDL, Detroit Lions

Watch ten plays of Braden Fiske and try and figure out a way Dan Campbell doesn’t fall in love. He’s a knee cap biter with an unstoppable motor and elite athleticism. Slide Fiske in next to Aidan Hutchinson and enjoy a game wrecking defensive line for years to come.

Trey Benson, RB, Dallas Cowboys

Tell me that they don’t need this kind of player on their team. He can turn on the jets, bowl over defenders, and really be the lead back for a team. Jerry Jones might not have taken great notes this offseason, but hopefully he caught some Florida State film.

Adonai Mitchell, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Mitchell’s highs are some of the highest in the class. He takes plays off due to an extreme understanding of the game and realizing that he’s not in the progression. Some call that laziness, some call it football IQ. If someone is going to get the most out of Mitchell it’s Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes extending plays to keep him involved. This film review sold me on Mitchell as a prospect, who’s one of the most fun prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Olu Fashanu, OT, New Orleans Saints

Some teams have team needs. The Saints have a giant sticker on their forehead that says “Must Draft a Tackle”. There are question marks all over the place, and it would be nice to grab an exceptional pass protector and keep Carr upright for a little bit.
