Tee Higgins has requested a trade with no news of a long-term deal. The 25-year-old receiver has three seasons of 900 receiving yards or more, and will be value added to any team that can land him. With news of the trade, who should be in the market?
Note: With the expectation of a long term deal being part of the trade, a day two pick is the expected compensation.
Five Teams That Should Trade for Tee Higgins
Carolina Panthers
This is a layup. Bryce Young needs all the help he can get, and the Panthers don’t have an easy avenue to a true X receiver. Rather than rolling the dice with a rookie, they can add a proven receiver to assist on the outside. The Panthers can take advantage of the rookie pay scale and add a dynamic playmaker. Don’t overthink it.
Possible Panthers Running Back Draft Target
Jacksonville Jaguars
Calvin Ridley is solid. But would they rather re-sign him, or reunite Trevor Lawrence with a college sweetheart? While they were together in Clemson, Higgins was a 1000-yard receiver and it’ll be like getting back on your favorite bike. If the price is right, a Tee Higgins trade would add some serious firepower to Duval country.
New York Giants
The tallest wide receiver on the Giants right now is Isaiah Hodgins (unless we count Bryce Ford-Wheaton). Neither has the route running ability or juice that Higgins has after years of torching the AFC North. Whether or not Daniel Jones is the long-term solution, they have plenty of room to get a deal done. More importantly, there’s no rivalry or competitive issue with making a deal with Cincinnati which will be enticing for their front office.
New York Jets
Garrett Wilson is everything you want in a 1a. Shifty after the catch, a monster who commands a huge target share and young enough to be a building block for years to come. If they can find a way to get Higgins to the big apple, he’d get to play for a championship while catching passes from Rodgers and would be a part of the team’s future in the years after.
Los Angeles Rams
Is there a team in the league with a bigger history of not caring about early draft picks? If they can link Higgins up with Stafford, the Rams would have three elite receivers and can make another run at a Super Bowl. All things considered, Kupp isn’t a spring chicken, and Higgins skillset complements what Puka Nacua brings to the team.

Honorable Mentions
The Kansas City Chiefs make a ton of sense on their end. Unfortunately for NFL fans, there’s almost no way the Bengals would send a stud receiver to one of their biggest rivals. It’s the same reason they’re unlikely to send him to Baltimore. As fun as a Lamar Jackson team with two absolute stud receivers would be. The New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Chargers should be in the mix, but they’re too busy trying to get under the cap to try and make a move for Higgins right now. The Las Vegas Raiders have a history of being aggressive here, but seeking a Tee Higgins trade isn’t what they need right now. They should be trying to find an upgrade under center first.
