2024 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft – Superflex 1.0

In this 2024 dynasty superflex rookie mock draft Caleb Williams is the clear 1.01, but the second tier of players is full of value.
Superflex Mock Draft

Mock draft season is upon us. As draft pundits and scouting experts put out their landing spots and projected draft capital, it lets dynasty fantasy football managers get a good idea of which prospects will be more valuable in rookie drafts.

Note: This superflex mock draft was based on projected draft capital and landing spots from Daniel Jeremiah’s 2024 Mock Draft 1.0.

2024 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft – Superflex 1.0

A Tier of His Own

Caleb Williams, Quarterback

In this mock draft, he went first overall to the Chicago Bears to work with D.J. Moore. Is the landing spot sexy? Not really, but Williams has the individual talent to help the offense grow. The first overall pick in the real draft has a longer leash than most quarterbacks and is part of the reason Bryce Young could be considered a buy-low in this format.

Automatic Fantasy Starters

Jayden Daniels, Quarterback

All things considered, Daniels has the inside track to fantasy gold. Whether you prefer his written scouting report or the video one, Daniels checks every box. Elite rushing ability. Arm talent to get the job done. Top three draft capital to the New England Patriots in this draft. Easy 1.02 selection.

Drake Maye, Quarterback

Picture Justin Herbert. There, you’re done scouting Drake Maye. He still has room to grow as a decision maker, but has the arm talent, frame and release to make it happen all over the field. Getting him at the 1.03 feels like a homerun. The Washington Commanders got their guy for the next ten years in this mock draft.

Marvin Harrison Jr, Wide Receiver

Boy oh boy do I have the comp for Marvin Harrison Jr. Imagine Marvin Harrison had a kid. Marvin Harrison Jr. was the talk of the 2023 Ohio State Pro Day, and he wasn’t even eligible yet. He is the most complete receiver prospect since A.J. Green, if not longer. Harrison Jr. with Kyler Murray will break fantasy football.

Top Five in Most Classes

Rome Odunze, Wide Receiver

In all fairness, Malik Nabers is higher graded as a player on my board right now. But Odunze gets to go catch passes from Justin Herbert, and Odunze is like a super charged Chris Olave. Regular Olave catching passes from Derek Carr is a top ten WR on keeptradecut right now. It’s not falling for the landing spot, it’s using the landing spot as a boost to an already exceptional prospect.

Malik Nabers, Wide Receiver

On one side, he would get to play with Brian Daboll. On the other, he would catch passes from Daniel Jones. At this point it feels disrespectful to have Nabers this low, as he’s better than any 2023 wide receiver prospect.

Brock Bowers, Tight End

Bowers has an argument to be top three in tight end premium leagues. Following one of the best college campaigns for a tight end ever, he is a top 20 lock in the 2024 NFL Draft and should be used as a weapon in any offense he joins. In Jeremiah’s mock he links up with Anthony Richardson to form one of the scariest offenses in the league.

The Other Quarterback

Bo Nix, Quarterback

Nix is the only other quarterback to go in the first round here, and with the hit rates tied to draft capital, he’s the next safest pick. The Saints are a strange landing spot (they’re hemorrhaging cap space already) but he’ll be able to sit behind Carr until the fans get impatient. In a dynasty superflex league, first round quarterbacks are always worth a swing.

The Fun Part of the Draft

Troy Franklin, Wide Receiver

In this mock Franklin links up with Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. He was the last player selected in the first round, but he’s got the juice, don’t be fooled. Franklin is like a stretched out DeVonta Smith with burning speed and shocking fluidity in his routes.

Devontez Walker, Wide Receiver

The Chiefs bump will be alive and well. Rashee Rice on one side as a YAC monster and Tez on the other as a deep threat, this offense could look completely different in 2024. Once he laces them up at the combine, he’ll be on everyone’s darling list.

Brian Thomas Jr, Wide Receiver

Thomas is a physical freak who compares to D.K. Metcalf in his college profile. Unfortunately he gets stuck in the Miami Dolphins log jam, but he is a great long term play. Mike McDaniel will find ways to get him involved in creative ways, and he’ll be ready when called upon.

Last Word on the Superflex Mock Draft 1.0

2023 had ten fantasy relevant players selected. This mock had 11, but it didn’t even scratch the surface of how talented this wide receiver class is. Quarterbacks and receivers are plentiful in 2024, so fringe top-36 dynasty receivers should be sold while they’re still priced there.
