The Offensive Tackle class is arguably the best position group in the 2024 NFL Draft, with players like JC Latham, Olumuyiwa Fashanu, and now Georgia’s Amarius Mims. Mims has immense potential that every NFL team salivates for. The former 5-star top 15 recruit was a valuable reserve for most of his first two years. Mims started at Right Tackle at the end of his sophomore year in the 2022-23 college football playoff. In a high-pressure situation, Amarius shined using his massive frame, great arm length, and strength to dominate the competition.
In 2023, Mims became the full-time starting Right Tackle and was off to a dominant start. However, versus South Carolina, Mims had a significant ankle injury requiring tightrope ankle surgery. Even after returning, he was regularly subbed in and out of games throughout the remainder of his season. Even with poor health, Mims continued to show flashes of dominance in the passing and run game. However, was it enough to earn a first-round grade in this year’s draft? Let’s dig into the film.

Mims’s Weakness
