The Carolina Panthers are an absolute mess this season, and the latest social media blunder related to the team is just another example that this nightmare of a season can’t come to an end soon enough. With Frank Reich out of town, the Panthers finally introduced deep passing into the offense. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out too well, as quarterback Bryce Young struggled to connect downfield for a wide variety of reasons. The receivers couldn’t separate, the offensive line couldn’t block long enough, and even when things went as planned, the rookie quarterback missed some open men.
All in all, it was a terrible day as the Panthers dropped to 1-11 on the heels of an ugly 28-6 loss to a reeling Saints team. Carolina fired Frank Reich in large part because they believed a new head coach could change the results. That didn’t happen, and some Panthers fans took to social media to voice their frustration with offensive coordinator Thomas Brown. One tweet in particular caught the attention of Brown’s wife, and she had an interesting response.

Latest Social Media Breakdown Makes Struggling Panthers Look Even Worse
Based on the social media tweet above, the Panthers will not bring back Thomas Brown in 2024. Honestly, that’s not too much of a surprise. Carolina is a futile team right now, and the Panthers will need to make a lot of changes if they want to put a winning product on the field. Bryce Young is a rookie, and you don’t move on from a first-round pick in just one season, especially when you don’t have a first-round pick in the upcoming draft. Everyone else, however, should probably start updating their resume.
Still, it’s surprising to see something like this emerge on social media, even when it’s such a foregone conclusion. The Las Vegas Raiders fired Josh McDaniels before the Panthers fired Reich, yet you don’t see posts like this coming from the Raiders social media. In a vacuum, this tweet doesn’t mean much of anything. The Panthers will be starting a head coaching search at the end of the season, and it’s safe to assume that none of the coaches will be coming back for 2024. However, seeing this dysfunction leak onto the internet is just further proof that Carolina is a complete mess, and a lot needs to be done before this organization gains any league-wide respect.
