After an entire offseason of speculations, the New York Jets have finally signed running back Dalvin Cook. Cook, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, spent the entirety of his career with the Vikings.

Dalvin Cook Signs Contract With New York Jets
Dalvin Cook joins his new team on the heels of yet another successful year atop the Vikings depth chart. Appearing in all 17 games, the running back finished the season with 1,173 rushing yards and eight touchdowns to go along with 39 receptions for 295 yards and two touchdowns. However, due to his large cap hit and the re-signing of running back Alexander Mattison, the writing was on the wall for Cook.
Dalvin Cook originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Selected by the Minnesota Vikings, the rookie immediately earned the starting job and proved to be one of the most electric running backs in the league early in his career. Unfortunately, an ACL injury limited him to just four games as a rookie. Still, in that small sample, the Florida State product recorded 354 rushing yards and two touchdowns to go along with 11 receptions for 90 yards.
Following a disappointing 2018 where he was clearly not himself, Dalvin Cook established himself as one of the best of the best in 2019. Starting in all 14 games in which he appeared, the running back finished the season with 1,135 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 250 attempts to go along with 53 receptions for 519 yards and his first Pro Bowl nomination.
Cook’s best season likely came in the 2020 campaign. Starting and appearing in 14 games, the running back finished the year setting career-highs in carries (312), rushing yards (1,557), and rushing touchdowns (16) while also adding another 44 receptions for 362 yards and a touchdown on 54 targets.
Since entering the league, Dalvin Cook has recorded 5,993 rushing yards and 47 touchdowns while earning four trips to the Pro Bowl.
