2024 Super Bowl Odds
Long odds to consider for Super Bowl 58
Los Angeles Chargers +2000
The Chargers always seem to find a way to disappoint. After entering 2022 as one of the darlings of the AFC, the Bolts’ season didn’t live up to the hype. While they did manage to win a playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team fell short of the lofty expectations fans and bookmakers had for them this year.
Justin Herbert is now entering his fourth season, and the heat will be turned up another notch. The 24-year-old has the makings of a generational talent but still sits with just one career playoff win.
If his supporting cast (namely receivers) can finally stay healthy for an entire season, this team has the ingredients to go all the way. But that’s a big if.
Rumors of a DeAndre Hopkins acquisition have been swirling in Southern California, which would give the team the depth it needs. If LA can add a bona fide superstar like Nuk, you’ll see these odds shrink in a hurry.
New York Jets +2500
There’s a lot to like about the New York Jets. A perennial laughing stock for the better part of a decade, head coach Robert Saleh has needed just two seasons to turn things around.
The Jets absolutely nailed the draft last year. Rookies Garrett Wilson and Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner won Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year, respectively, and running back Breece Hall was a force of nature before an unfortunate ACL tear.
All that’s needed now is a quarterback. Those Aaron Rodgers rumors are real and would instantly cut these odds in half. If this team’s offense could match what its defense is doing – look out.
Jacksonville Jaguars +2500
What a difference a coach can make. Doug Pederson came in last season and swiftly cleaned up the mess left by Urban Meyer. The Jaguars went from a three-win season to winning the AFC South.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence took a massive leap under Pederson’s tutelage and finally looked the part of a first-overall pick. The team had a hiccup in the Wild Card game, blowing a 27-0 lead to the Chargers, but we’ll chalk that up to growing pains.
If the Jags can add a few more pieces this offseason, it’s not unrealistic to think they can make a deep run. Like Los Angeles, Jacksonville is a destination that stud receiver DeAndre Hopkins is said to prefer.
Las Vegas Raiders +4000
Coming off a playoff berth in the 2021 season, there were high hopes for the Silver and Black last year. They hired new head coach Josh McDaniels and added the biggest free agent on the market in Davante Adams. But things didn’t go as planned.
Longtime quarterback Derek Carr was benched at the end of the season and is on his way out. And there are now more questions than answers revolving around coach McDaniels, whose leadership was in question all season long.
There were some bright spots, though. Running back Josh Jacobs was a revelation, leading the league in rushing, and defensive tackle Maxx Crosby emerged as one of the league’s top pass rushers.
But there’s only one real reason to keep your eye on the Raiders – Aaron Rodgers. It’s all but certain that the three-time MVP is leaving Green Bay, and a reunion with Davante Adams would instantly turn Las Vegas into a Super Bowl contender.
